1. Big Idea: Describe the processes and implications of sexual and asexual reproduction in
plants and animals.
Step 1:Identify questions to investigate about sexual and asexual reproduction
in plants.
2. Sexual reproduction in plants:
two cells, each with half of the DNA needed, combine and create a living cell. That type is
sexual reproduction.
Asexual reproduction in plants:
One cell can split into two, giving you two identical cells. That type is asexual
reproduction.
