2. Late January -Twitter account setup
• Developers spread word of twitter account under Chad’s
persona via retweets. Basic Facebook account also
created, mainly to promote twitter.
3. Early Feb weeks – Sticker rampage
• Stickers of Chad swarm London South Bank’s skateparks.
Awareness developed in skater culture. Twitter account is
linked on stickers.
4. 22 February: Publicity Stunt
• 22 skaters will enter the toilets of a series of buildings
surrounding the market square in Cambridge. The will change
into Chad’s clothing and mullet wigs and run out of the
buildings. One will be holding a boombox that will play the main
menu music and the skaters will swarm the market skating
recklessly if they can on the cobblestones. Several will do flips
off the central fountain and then will proceed to skate around
the surrounding areas in a large crowd.
• University areas will be targeted too.
• On the back of the skater’s pink shirts, the vine and twitter
account names are written.
• The next day, a video will be uploaded of skaters, dressed as
Chad doing various tricks at Cambridge skate park and around
Cambridge parks and rails.
5. March 28: Beta Demo at Rezzed 14’
• Beta version demo at Rezzed.
• The UK indie game event would provide a great
introduction to game and would act a basic consumer test,
to confirm that our gameplay is having the essential
emotional impacts that we expected.
• This will be a casual yet essential event to attend. It will
act as a reassurance if we are successful at this event or
a wake up call in terms of development if not.
6. 19-20 March: Trailer uploaded to Youtube
+ Twitter
• Uploaded on official Chad account that would be
promoted under Chad’s alias on Twitter.
• Throughout the days of the 19th and 20th, Snippets of out
trailer, in silence, will be featured on our vine account and
spontaneous posted on Chad’s twitter account, yet blurred
out by old VHS fuzzy effects and a sound that suggest a
broken television.
7. Thursday 9th May
• Chad is released in UK app store at 11:00am.
• After leaving a strong gap between our publicity stunts for
Chad and the trailer release, we release the full version of
the game.
8. April 11- PAX EAST
• Arrive on 4th and on the same date, release the Chad
basketball vest to order off Amazon/eBay/Asos, link it off our
twitter page.
• Form a team of basketball players to wear these vests, along
with blonde mullets and play basketball around many of
Boston’s courts.
• Also, this basketball team will attend the NBA team Boston
Celtics game, wearing these vests, mullets and holding
skateboards. They will be asked to act very eccentric and try to
feature on the big screen as much as possible, by chanting
80’s songs and celebrating in the gangways. If they get kicked
out, they will inevitably be featured on the big screen.
• Attend PAX East and promote our 8 bit themes and graphics.
Compete in Omegathon.
9. June 10- E3 14 in LA
• Arrive in LA on the 6th, with a selected 80’s cover band.
• The band will busk in some of the most popular busking
spots in LA, performing 80’s renditions of well known
songs, under the band name, “Krystal Slipper”, wearing
the trademark mullet wigs.
• On the 10th we will promo at E3, releasing Mo’s T shirts on
the same day and selling them at the convention.
• Here we will debut the most upgraded version of the
game to date and will again broadcast the trailer.
10. 18th September – Tokyo Game Show
• Arrive in Tokyo on 15th.
• Basketball team, Skate team and Krystal Slipper are all
present and perform around the city.
• Showcase vests, stickers and full game.
11. 25th September - EGX London
• Like Birmingham, we’ll offer a play through but this time
it’ll be of the full game.
• All merchandise we’ve released so far will be sold at this
event.
12. Tuesday 7th October
• Game is released in China and Japan.
• Will be released at 3:00am (GMT)
13. Thursday 9th October
• Game is released to US audience after long wait.
• Will be released at 10:00am (Eastern time)
• On the 14th, Halloween updated will be released.
14. Tuesday 10th Novemeber
• Release game at 11:00am for Europe, two weeks before
we showcase everything at DreamHack Winter on the 27th
in Jonkoping, Sweden, which we will arrive for on the 24th.
• On the 4th December, Christmas Update will be released.
