3. Affirmative.
Subject+ To be (Was/Were)+ rest of the sentence.
He was in the garden.
They were in the cine.
You were in the pool.
I was eating in my grandmother house.
4. Negative.
Subject+ To be (Was/Were)+ NOT+ Rest of the sentence.
She was not in the school.
You were not in your house.
It wasn´t my fault
You weren´t in the school
5. Question.
To be+ Subject+ Rest of sentence.
Where you in the cine?
Was he in the party?
We can also used in a negative form.

6. Used to.
We use “Used to” for actions that happened in the past and are not longer true.
Subject + Used to+ rest of the sentence.
Example
I used to eat hamburger everyday.
I didn´t used to be here.
They used to stay in the school after class.
In a question form it would be for asking about past habits
Did you used to be a soccer player?
Didn´t you used to play basketball?
