The Research Methods Of Internet Articles
There were four research methods that were used in this research question. The use of internet articles, email interview, library books and visits to the
museum. Out of all those research methods, the most effective was the internet articles and the visits to the SA museum. In this evaluation the four
research methods will be discussed in details along with their pros and cons.
Internet articles were one of the main research methods, and it was chosen because using search engines such as google offers a large range of
information in seconds. However, even when most information was fairly accurate, there are still mistakes. It would be up to the researcher to
identify if the source was credible. This can be done by doing a SCAB analysis on ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
Midnight zone is another term for bathypelagic zone. Same things go for every sub question searched within the project, for information diversity.
The second challenge of using this method is to chose the useful and trustworthy sources out of the few articles that can be found. Some of the
articles were written by organisations, some by professors and some are more like personal blogs. This was not hard to overcome, as stated
previously that scab analysis can be done roughly for each source. It would take too much time to do one for every source, but generally a
trustworthy source can be identified if they have a credible author and the correct information. To be able to recognise if the information within was
correct, multiple websites on the same topic were opened and compared. This will make sure the source is as reliable as it can be.
Overall internet was extremely helpful in researching. The deep ocean was only explored so much; there were limited information on what can be
found. Internet was a place where the majority of them gathered. This method of research contributed to most of the references in the final outcome.
The second research method was the email interview with a marine biology professor. The research question is in the area of marine biology, and a
marine biology professor would be best suited for an interview on this question. This method was chosen because it is a great primary source. Primary
sources are needed in research project to make

The Internet Plagiarism Explosion Essay
A great deal has been published in the media about the "explosion" of Internet plagiarism among high school and college students. Because the Internet
is so young, there have been few studies conducted on the extent of Internet plagiarism. However, existing studies do show that the Internet is an
extremely popular tool students use to cheat on written assignments. In any group of students, some will choose the path of academic dishonesty and
copy the words or ideas of another person without giving credit to the author. The advent of the Internet has openednew ways for students to plagiarize
written material. Not only can students copy material from individual Web sites, but they can use an online paper mill to pay for and receive an ... Show

Some, including www.collegetermpapers.com, offer papers for free. (All of these sites were found in a search for "term papers" using the Google
search engine.) Although papers are readily available for downloading from paper mills, the quality of those papers is usually poor. An investigative
report conducted by U.S. News & World Report evaluated the quality of four papers purchased from Internet mills. University professors evaluated
each of the papers and judged their quality to be mediocre at best (Kleiner, 1999, para. 4).
Studies reach conflicting conclusions on the extent of plagiarism and cheating in American high schools and colleges. An article in the Toronto Star
cites a study conducted by "Who's Who Among American High School Students" that found that four–fifths of high school students surveyed reported
cheating (Walker, 2001, para. 28). The Center for Academic Integrity found that 72 percent of high school students admit to "serious cheating on
written assignments" and over 50 percent plagiarized material from the Internet (CAI Research, 2001, para. 7). The Los Angeles Times paraphrased the
founder of the Center for Academic Integrity: "Although a majority of high school students admit cheating at one time or another, technological
advances such as the Internet have not had a significant effect on the overall number of cheaters. Of students who admitted to

Argumentative Research On My Internet Footprint
After conducting an exhaustive research on my Internet Footprint, I have found information that one would find in a phone book such as my
address & home phone number. However, one of the surprising things I found were people I was associated with, particularly family members, age
demographic, & my date of birth. Most of this information is found on typical people search sites such as Whitepages, Spokeo, Intelius, & 411.
While I would like to find out if any other personal information is posted on those sites, I am prompted to pay for additional services in order to
access that possible information. In terms of Google/Bing search images, I have found no existing pictures. Since I have multiple e–mail addresses, I
cross–referenced my name with my e–mail addresses to see if it is associated any name other than my own. I have found no association nor any
presence online even with an advanced search of Google or Bing. ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...

Egg Drop Challenge
Egg Drop Challenge Have you ever heard of drop the egg challenge? Well, I'm here to tell you about my drop the egg challenge. You have to drop the
egg from a distance in the air, but the egg cannot crack. Yes, it is possible. Here's the supplies my partner and I used. We had a bowl, rocks, cardboard,
four paper towel rolls, gorilla tape, hot glue gun, and of course an EGG! First we placed the rocks in the bowl, then glued a square foot piece of
cardboard on top of the bowl, next we glued/taped the paper towel rolls (on top of the cardboard glued to the bowl), after we cut a small circle in a
small square piece of cardboard (so the egg can fit in it), therefor we glued the egg in the circle and we cut a half of a bottle and put it

Annotated Bibliography: Social Implications Of The Internet
Annotated Bibliography
The main sources used and gathered within this research paper came from my initial searches using Google Scholar. I went through many articles
before choosing the best ones. When deciphering which articles I would and wouldn't use, I looked at facts such, the dates they were published, the
scholarly authors, and so on. Articles from journals posed better sources for my research than simple and biased articles by everyday people. It was a
little frustrating to find ones that I felt as though were reliable. Social Implications of the Internet was my favorite article because I felt as though it
gave me a lot of useful and interesting information from sociologists. I chose to write about social communication through the internet for a variety of
reasons. First, I believe it is a growing practice and I want to learn more about why. Next, it is a phenomenon that it enables us to communicate with
anyone, anywhere, at any time. Lastly, it is an easy and fast form of communication and there is proof of that through the growth and popularity of
social media. My audience is digital immigrants. A digital immigrant is someone who was born prior to the widespread outburst of digital technology,

teach. A study of 25 students that involved interviewing them about how they do their school assignments concluded that all of the students use the

Is The Internet Making Us Lazy Research Paper
Isn't it ironic that the internet has negative effects on us? Shouldn't the internet be making us smarter and more intelligent? How the internet affects us
depends on the way we use it. There are different ways we use the internet but it is mainly for help on something. There is a cheating kind of help and
a research kind of help. Using the internet to copy answers for homework leads to misuse and therefore has a negative effect on us. However, using the
internet for research for a project is helpful: people actually learn something. Even though the internet may tend to have more negative than positive
effects, both contribute to the changing sociological effects caused by the internet.
Since people are using the internet more than ever, it leads to a loss of focus on other tasks such as reading. According to Nicholas Carr in, "Is

In "The Internet has Made Us Lazy," Brian Reich analyzes the causes to why it has made us lazy. He explains that the internet and technology has
changed the way we communicate and operate–and not all for the better (Reich 1). Reich indicates that the internet has made us lazy because we settle
for satisfaction instead of working hard to make things happen. Also, in "You Won't Finish this Article," Farhad Manjoo examines how people are
too lazy to finish reading online articles because of the habits they have produced over time. For example, he provides charts and statistics that
support that people are too lazy to finish reading articles: "Schwartz tells me that on a typical Slate page only 25 percent of readers make it past
the 1,600th pixel of the page" (Manjoo 2). We have developed habits that make us lazy. For instance, we skim articles to find an answer for a
homework question and then we stop once we find an answer and write it down. Since we do this over and over, it leads to lazy habits, which all stem

A Research Study On The Internet
YouTube posed somewhat of a question mark in my household when it came pre–downloaded onto my mother's first iPhone in 2007. Only two years
after its creation, the app's icon resembled a brown, old fashioned TV– nothing like the vivid, red play button that is used now. My mum deleted the
app, convinced there was no need for it. I discovered just how wrong she was in March 2012 when at thirteen I turned to YouTubeto learn how to sing
'On My Own' from Les Miserables for a school competition. It was clear that I rarely used the internet as my research history on my small but heavy
pink laptop consisted of the welfare of Mekong dolphins (googled for a biology project) and clairesaccessories.com. After watching an array of
professional singers, I came across the wide range of 'covers'– a new concept to me– that YouTube had on offer. Up until this point I thought the
internet was exclusive to celebrities; singers and movie stars and the occasional X Factor finalist, but as I gazed into the small screen of my laptop,
I saw girls within my age group, proudly displaying themselves for anyone who wanted to see. First I watched a girl named Carrie Hope Fletcher.
She was eighteen and had blonde curls springing from her head in every direction, pulling me into her channel, 'itswaypastmybedtime,' which was
packed with different covers where she even played the piano or guitar, and plastered in book reviews and Harry Potter references. She was like the
presenter of a TV show that had been

During that period, computer and internet are among the fastest developed technologies. But in that particular period, there have been similar dawns.
Films, radio, records, broadcast television, audiotape, videotape, programmed learning machines, etc. These changes of technologies have also affected
our learning institutions such as school, college and universities. In fact the impact on the bulk of teaching and learning has been minimal.

Doing Research On The Internet
Doing Research on the Internet
With the information age has come the attitude of "if you can think of it, you can find it on the Internet." It's difficult to argue the sentiment when you
can find out interesting facts such as who has the longest hair in the world, how fast the Earth rotates around its axis, or how much India's population
grew in 2012.
Is It Online?
Though it may be the easiest place to begin researching, there are times when the Internet doesn't hold the answer. If you need complete details of the
history of the Svetitskhoveli Cathedral in the country of Georgia, you may have to visit a major library. If you need to know how people in your

If you're looking for up–to–date research in the fields of industry and academia, consider looking for online academic and trade journals. If you need
census data, government websites may be your best bet.
Journals
If scientific and scholarly journals are needed, you have several options. The most accessible option is the open access journal. You can find over
10,000 of them through the Directory of Open Access Journals. At a time when finding scholarly information on the Internet is difficult, the site
strongly promotes increased adoption and visibility of these types of journals.
JSTOR is another option for academic and scholarly journals. However, the service is limited to those fortunate enough to have access to a library,
school, or university that subscribes to the service. While searches using Google Scholar do reveal many JSTOR articles, those articles are essentially
useless without direct access.
Directories
Another useful tool is the Web directory. A Web directory differs from a search engine in that it acts solely as an index or catalogue of sites sorted by
theme. One of the more well–known Web directories is the Open Directory Project. Loosely affiliated with the Mozilla project, the directory is edited
by a volunteer community dedicated to keeping it as current as possible. The directory has a wide variety of subjects to browse through. For example,

Internet Offenders Research
Besides the three classifications mentioned in Blasko's research, Simons added another classification in his paper–internet offenders. Simons, like
Blasko, views sexual violence as a serious social problem with "devastating consequences." Sharing similar comprehension about the three major
groups of sex offending–adult male rapists, adult child molesters, and female sexual offenders, Simons also emphasized the growing occurrence in
internet offending, due to the widespread availability of pornography in the internet (Delmonico &Griffin, 2008) Internet becomes a vehicle for child
abuse to view, and share pornographic images of children, and luring child victims online. In terms of demographics, the majority of internet offenders
are male, younger than other sexual offenders (Webb, Craissati, &Keen, 2007). Internet offenders tend to suffer more from psychological difficulties
in adulthood, yet more likely to succeed in community (4 percent in failure) and less likely to engage in sexually risky behaviors (14 percent) than
child molesters (29 percent and 26 percent in regards). Because internet offending is a relatively new subject in sex offending, there are not sufficient

How Does Digital Media Influence Us?
How Does Digital Media Influence to You Did you know that cellphone are popularized suddenly in recent Africa? According to "Pew Research

have a cellphone is growing, and cellphone ownership become common today even two percent of them had landline phone. In the research, they use
cellphone for sending massages, taking a picture or video, making or receiving payments, getting a political news, and other ways. As the condition
of Africa, people live a comfortable life with cellphones, computers, iPads, iPhones, tablets, and many digital devices as usual. In addition, the
number of people who use digital devices is increasing gradually. For example, according to "Generation M2: Media in the Lives of 8– to
18–Year–Olds," even 31 percent of eight years old to ten years old have own cellphone in the U.S. In the case of fifteen to eighteen years old, 85
percent of them have their own cellphone. In addition, the average of using entertainment media is 7 hours and 38 minutes per a day, and they use
much time for texting, calling, playing games, and so on. These researches shows us how big number of child use digital media. When children use

The Internet Has Made Education Better For Teachers,...
The internet has made education better for teachers, student and parents however the use of the "information super highway" does not have its faults.
What are some solutions to problems such as cheating, plagiarism and the validity of the information online? Ethics, honesty, and fairness in online
education are always concerns because of the quick internet transferring of information available to our students. There are numerous ways that
educators can help minimize this problem. Some action steps that are readily available to online internet education are TURNITIN which is plagiarism
detection software, remote live PROCTORING which uses web cams and humans monitoring several screens in the room where students are
connecting to their assignments online, a LOCKDOWN BROWSER can be downloaded to the students computer which prevents students looking up
things during an exam, and there are KEYSTROKE RECOGNITION devices that recognize the student and assures that the work is done by that
student. Educators have to pay attention to the criticisms as well. Some of the criticisms to examine are the claims that the internet is unreliable,
students don't get group interaction, teaching profession put at risk, no way to measure truth in learning, students sheltered from real world, learning is
impersonal, and prevents students from learning how to communicate. The first claim to examine is that the internet is unreliable. In order to find an

Internet Filters are too restrictive
Research papers and projects are a nuisance! As high school students we are required to write essays, and for that we are allowed to use school
computers for research purposes, yet there is always a flaw with technology. For example, as students log in to do some research they find themselves
with an annoying message like "404–page not found "or a yellow triangle with and exclamation point inside, indicating that the page is blocked because
the Internet filter believes the page contains sexual or violent information. Therefore, Internet filters from public schools should be less restrictive: it

they cannot view the page. One of the main sources they want to use is YouTube; they use thiswebsite because it has videos that give short tutorials or
brief summaries about different subjects, such as math and social studies. Unfortunately, YouTube is considered an inadequate page. These Internet

Is Internet Addiction Disorder? Essay
Internet addiction disorder, more commonly called problematic Internet use, refers to excessive computer use which interferes with daily life. Internet
overuse, problematic computer use, or pathological computer use, problematic Internet use, or Internet addiction disorder. In the most recent version of
the DSM–5, Internet Gaming Disorder is the latest term to describe this problem.
History
IAD was originally proposed as a disorder in a satirical hoax by Ivan Goldberg, M.D., in 1995, although some later researchers have taken his essay
seriously. He used this term because it was a suitable fit to his parody. This idea he conjured was to demonstrate the Diagnostic and Statistical Manual
of Mental Disorders handbook's complexity and rigidity. The symptoms he included in this parody where important social or occupational activities that
are given up or reduced because of the internet use", "Fantasies or dreams about the internet" and "Voluntary or involuntary typing movements of the
fingers."
Dr. Goldberg himself has redefined I.A.D as a "Pathological Internet use Disorder" also known as to avoid confusing what he started as a joke to be
thought of as an official diagnosed addiction–like addiction to Heroin. Dr. Goldberg mentioned that to receive medical attention or support for every
behavior by putting it in to psychiatric nomenclature is ridiculous. Dr. Goldberg added if every over done behavior can be an addiction that would

Critically Looking at the Research
While this research project was taking place, a method(s) of research had to be chosen. Multiple options were considered such as online research,
questioners, and interviews. It was found that the questionnaires would not help the research because the information that was needed could not be
extrapolated out of a questionnaire. Secondly, interview(s) were ruled out of the question because there was no one that could be found and contacted
that was creditable. There was, however, an exception to do with the interview later on in the research. This was to do with the required help on some of

When conducting the research, difficulties and challenges were experienced. One of the big problems faced was finding a way to convert the
differential equation into a function. Research online helped narrow down the problem, and then specifically having a talk/interview with math's
personal at the school allowed for a solution to be found.
Throughout the research the most useful source was, Population Dynamics of Western Atlantic Bluefin Tuna: Modeling the Impacts of Fishing using
Differential Equations. The source was the most useful because of the connections that was shown between population models and mathematics. The
reliability was judged to be high because of the authors Esther Bowen, Marie Hoerner, and Cassie Kontur. The information stated was backed up by
other sources and judged to be accurate. Lastly the information displayed was up to date and on topic.
If this research task was to be redone, there are a few improvements that could be made. Firstly the topic was a little broad if the topic was narrowed
down more, a more informative research project could have been created. Secondly, more time with a specialist in mathematics, and more help
specifically with differential equation and calculus would have been externally productive. The mathematical aspect of the research project would have
been a lot stronger with more/longer access to math experts. For example an improvement of converting the differential equation to a function that has

Nevertheless, the Internet opens new ways to investigate in social and behavioural sciences because there are many scientific questions about some
target population that do not look for generalised results but representative ones. As many scholars recognise, the Internet provides new opportunities
for non–random survey data (Couper, 2000; Fricker and Schonlau, 2002). In particular, these authors distinguish the advantages of the Internet to
capture the "hard to reach"/"hard to involve" population. In fact, this paper proposes to analyze if social networking sites (SNSs), specifically the
Facebook network site, can help researchers to contact hidden or hard to reach persons. Although in the last decade researchers became interested in
the study of SNSs, they particularly focus on the characteristics of the users of SNSs (Back et al., 2010), on the analysis of the social capital and
their influence in users behaviour (Ellison et al., 2007; Bigge, 2006) or on ethical issues concerning with the reward of private information on the

After spending a few hours reading webpages and finding numerous sources, reliable information about deforestation in the Amazon was found. The
World Wildlife Fund had very reliable information as there were sources and statistics which could support their statements (World Wildlife fund,
2015). The organisation is very credible as they always publish true information with supporting sources. At times it was difficult to find exact
information so narrowing the search made it easier to find information which I was looking for. Webpages are not the best for research but there were a
few webpages which were useful when they had sources to support the statements.
The next research process chosen was a skype interview with a man who currently lives in Pina, Brazil (Phillips, M, August 2015). This was an
extremely useful source as it was firsthand accounts of what is currently happening in the Amazon rainforest. The man told me new information such
as laws and politics in which I had currently not learnt about and after the interview I discovered sources which supported what he was telling me.
Doing a skype conference was hard because he lived in a different time zone but it was one of the best research processes used. Even though he is not
an expert, what he told me during the interview was accurate and reliable because it was supported by

Internet Filters Affecting Educational Research
Problematic
A shocking 37% of educational websites are most likely to be blocked when internet filters are applied to the school internet. This affects educational
research for schools, however, this seems to be overlooked quite often. With this in mind we should allow schools to provide unfiltered internet access
because online censorship causes educational research to be more strenuous the filters used can be easily bypassed by a VPN (Virtual Private
Network), and having unfiltered internet access prepares kids for this unfiltered world we prosper in.
When you live in an unfiltered world trying to strain and filter the web isn't a solution in fact, itВґs more of a problem on the same subject as Melinda
D. Anderson in her study she stated, ВЁIf we believe any technical solution like filtering will keep us totally safe, that is misplacedВЁ(Anderson). We
can't play pretend and act as if this world is a soft and kid friendly place when, truth be told, its not. This is important because as i said before,
ultimately we live in an unfiltered world and consequently we can't have internet filters just to hide what's coming, all in all, saying you can't fight the
inevitable. ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
There are plenty of ways to bypass or get around the censorship. For example, downloading a VPN (Virtual Private Network). A Virtual Private
Network creates encrypted peer–to–peer connections, thereby protecting all information shared over the VPN and circumventing most any filtering on
the device(ВЁIntel Alert 10 easy ways kids beat internet filtersВЁ). That being the case, why spend so much money on internet filters when it is so
simple to get through them? It is so important because all that money could go somewhere else where it will be put to good use and not something
that can be and will be easily

Independent Research Paper-Internet Security
Independent Research Paper–Internet Security
Using the Internet today, there are numerous ways to stay connected to other people also using the Internet. You can use e mail, chat rooms, and the
most popular, Instant Messaging. The risks of using e mail have always been evident. Receiving and downloading e mails and attachments from
people you do not know always carried the risk of downloading and infecting your computer with one or several viruses that could possibly destroy
your computers operating system.
On a personal computer, the cost of having your computer destroyed due to a virus would be at the most several hundred to a thousand dollars,
depending on whether the whole computer needed to be replaced. But on a computer ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
The sophisticated techniques of hackers that are used to infiltrate computers through e mail, are now being adapted to help hackers send virus files
or Trojan Horse programs to IM users or capture a user's list of IM buddies. These files are called Application Programming Interfaces (APIs) which
can be purchased from major suppliers and used to create an IM worm.
Another aspect of IM worms and viruses that attracts many hackers to this type if hacking, is that it is faster, simpler, and more effective. Unlike
those worms, IM worms do not need to scan the internet for the IP addresses of vulnerable systems, a process that greatly slows the spread of
traditional worms. Instead, IM worms simply use the infected user's buddy list to find new targets. Even with a scenario in which the buddy lists of
infected and target machines were identical except for just one IM user, an IM worm could infect 500,000 machines in just 31 seconds.
With the growing amount of Instant Messaging being used to conduct every day

Internet's Harmful Effects on Teenagers
Despite that Internet has a lot of benefits, in my opinion; Internet has harmful effect to the behavior of teenagers, because of my own experience.
Internet is one of the most original things made by human being. It is profitable for everyone, because yourself your time in searching some
information sources, you are able to be known of everything happening in the world, you can easily be In touch with your family, friend if they are for
from you. We may say that internet it is our saver, but it is wrong. So I am going to write about disadvantages of internet, negative impact of teenagers
and offer solution for doing this problem.
It is very difficult to formulate a topic of the research, Because of that I consulted with my teacher of Global Perspectives, and she helped me with my
topic. At the beginning my topic called "Internet" and I wanted to describe all about the Internet, after that teacher formulate my title.
The Internet is a massive public spider web of computer connections (What Is the 'Internet'? Is It the Same as the 'Web'? np). Internet is especially
dangerous. More and more people are starting to use the Internet.
Context:
On the 14th of January, 1969, the first Internet connection was set up between the University of California, Los Angeles, and the Stanford Research

Internet Should Be Censored Research Paper
"Censoring the internet would take away individual or group rights. If the internet would be censored the government would band information online
that is thought to be objectionable or dangerous. The remove of ideas that are available to society online would prejudge the material for everyone and
take away the option of making one’s own opinions on given topics. This removal of information would take away the right to fear all sides
of every issue and to make individualized judgments on those issues. These rights are protected under the First Amendment of the Bill of Rights in the
United States Constitution. The First Amendment was passed by Congress on September 25, 1789 and it states, “Congress shall make no law

Even with the best intentions of censoring the internet to remove inappropriate topics, the educational site will be blocked alike. For instance, if a
person is trying to read information on a controversial topic, such as sexuality, drug use, or sources containing profanity, they may not be able to access
the needed resources. Without these online resources, people will not have the resources to self–educate themselves on a given topic (Poland). The
American Civil Liberties Union launched the “Don’t Filter Me” campaign after obtaining many reports from students who
reported being “blocked from accessing websites about college scholarships for lesbian, gay, bisexual, and transgender teenagers; anti–bullying
resources; and activities for student–led gay–straight alliances” (Block). After the campaign reports were filled that schools were blocking
LGBT–supportive websites. However, students could access websites that condemned homosexuality (Block). This filtering is sending students the
wrong message. It is sending a message that being gay, bisexual, or transgender is wrong and should be hidden. By censoring many sites, schools are
limiting students’ options to get help if need be. Students will not be able to visit anti–bullying sites, suicide hotlines, or religious
organizations that are online to offer help (Block). Also, if a student is writing a research paper and is looking up information online, they

Social Media Addiction:
Effects on Mental Well–being
This paper will focus on Internet addiction and the potential psychological issues it can create for college students. The Internet is changing the way
we live but not always in a better way. The overuse or abuse of Internet can have negative influences on our lives and lead to maladaptive behaviors
(IЕџД±klar, 2011). This is more profound in the adolescent age group of people growing up with the internet (Fisoun,... Show more content on

The amount of mobile phone and computer usage is also associated with waking–time tiredness and unhealthy sleep habits. A South Korean study
showed a 37.7 percent prevalence of excessive daytime sleepiness due to addiction. As for possible addicts and non–addicts, it was significantly lower
at 13.9% and 7.4% respectively (Weinstein, 2010). Some other symptoms that addicts showed were longer sleep latency, lower sleep efficiency, poorer
sleep quality, more sleep disturbances, daytime dysfunction, were more likely to use sleep medication, and be more depressed. That brings us to the
next point, depression. Internet Addiction has many different psychological effects. There are deficits in decision making functions, low self–esteem,
potential for obsessive compulsive disorder (OCD), ADHD, social phobia, hostility, loss of sense of time, neglect for basic drives, withdrawal, anger,
tension, low tolerance (always needing more), frustration, anxiety and irritability. The obsessive–compulsive symptom was found to be an independent
factor that influenced the addiction (Jang, 2008). However, depressive symptoms seemed to have the biggest influence on internet addiction. As
previously stated, these college–aged students may turn to the internet to cope with their depression, which is not a suitable way of treating it. When
they got stressed out by work or were just depressed, internet addicts showed a high tendency to access

Naked Bouncing Egg Research
What could be better than making a naked bouncing egg?! Making a glowing one, of course! This activity teaches little scientists about egg anatomy
and osmosis takes just a few minutes to set up but is seriously egg–citing! I think it's a good idea for teachers to participate in this experiment because
it's a good way to have fun.
First thing you will need is your materials which is: An egg, clear glass, vinegar, highlighters, and a blacklight.
Second you have to know how to make a glowing bouncy egg and if you don't know how I will show you how because it's surprisingly simple – the
hardest part is having to wait.
To start, I took the polyester cylinder out of the highlighter and squeezed it to extract as much of the ink as I could. The easiest way was to use my
fingers, so be prepared for a little mess. Next, I very carefully added a raw egg to each of the glasses and covered them with white vinegar. The pink
and orange solutions were very bright, but the solution with the yellow highlighter turned almost clear when the vinegar was added. Now all I had
to do was wait. I could see bubbles forming on the surface of the egg almost immediately, but I had to wait a couple of days to see the real results.
Two days later, I checked on the eggs and found that the shells had disintegrated. I... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
That means it allows somethings to pass through it, through a process called osmosis. Some of the water with the highlighter ink passed through the
membrane into the egg and caused it to swell and glow. Osmosis, is the movement of a liquid, like water, across a membrane. Membranes like to be
balanced on both sides. The vinegar solution was mostly water with only a little vinegar and ink in it, while inside the membrane is protein with a
little water. So the glowing water molecules traveled from the vinegar into the egg to try to balance the concentrations. The egg expanded and

Internet Marketing (Research Design Report Include)
Research Statement This report will asses the effectiveness of various internet marketing
approaches effecting profitability.
Purpose
The purpose of this report is to explore new strategies that have emerged resulting from companies marketing their products on the wide range of the
World Wide Web.
Background and Significance
The World Wide Web was invented in 1989 by Tim Berners
–Lee ("World Wide Web," 2006, Para. 1). He started a whole new way of doing things in
business. Companies now can use the power of the internet to sell their products. Today thousands of sites can advertise their goods on websites such

2). There are many different ways to catch and pull in the clientele that a company is searching for, but before choosing what type of internet marketing
approach is best for the company's money, the marketing team must know some basic steps. They should start off by finding a target market and look
into regional ad buys, also they ought to research discounts that internet sources are offering ("Advertising isn't cheap," n.d., para.1–4).
One good way to start is by advertising on large search engines such as Yahoo, Google, and Web Crawler. This is called paid keyword search and
contextual adverting, but much larger known as SEM which is the abbreviation for Search Engine Marketing. This is an ideal way for the small
businessman or business owner to get the most bang out of his or hers buck. A business owner can buy little ads that come up when one searches a
related topic to their product. For instance, a company is specializing in manufacturing windows and siding. If a person is looking to replace their
windows or siding and is searching a search engine to figure out how to go about doing it, when that person enters the keyword "siding" a little ad
for that company specializing in that product or service is going to come up. SEM adverting is a fast growing way to advertise. It is so fast that

Internet surveillance is a necessary part of national security. For instance, there are specific agencies that monitor people’s browsing history or
recent searches to make sure that there is nothing that could be harmful or catastrophic. These could include and are not limited to terrorist attacks,
murder, or suicide.
In one of many cases, government officials presented a hearing which publicly disclosed two cases they said were cracked with the broad
communications surveillance. One in 2010, as investigators nabbed Khalid Ouazzani for allegedly plotting with Yemeni co–conspirators to blow up the
New York Stock Exchange and another in which a man was arrested for providing ""financial support"" to an extremist group in Somalia. By giving

Abstract
The Internet also known as ARPANET was created on January 1, 1983. Researchers began to assemble the "network of networks" that became the
modern Internet. The online world then took on a more recognizable form in 1990, when computer scientist Tim Berners–Lee invented the World Wide
Web. (Evan Andrews – http://www.history.com/news/ask–history/who–invented–the–internet)Throughout the world, the internet continues to have a
significant effect on society. Many argue that the Internet opens a world of endless opportunities for young and old adults, but others feel as if the
internet is a loaded cesspool of tinted information, illegal or inappropriate materials, and privacy disturbance. However, it clear that the internet still has
substantially a numerous amount of benefits for the world that range from, Social Networks, Education, Entertainment, Making money, and Internet
Purchases. This Research Paper is about the Internet, and how it continues to have a significant impact on almost every aspect of our lives. The

A Research Project On Food And Nutrition, Watching Jamie...
My research project question was inspired by my overweight friend in year 5, who used to purchase lunch orders from the school canteen every day.
Studying Stage 2 Nutrition lead me to become further intrigued by this topic and drew me to question how the school canteen could have contributed
to friend's weight issues and why some canteens are still less inclined to act on the issue of obesity than other school canteens.
My research into this topic consisted of two interviews, a primary school survey, literature review of various books on food and nutrition, watching
Jamie's School Dinners documentary series, and internet research. My outcome is in the form of a report explaining the results of my research.

Even though the study was conducted eleven years ago, through cross reference with other sources, I found similar problems and concerns evident in
the documentary series are still consistent and current with today's primary school children.
The nutritional evidence from Jamie's School Dinners was further supported by my literature research. The information found by my literature
research was highly reliable due to my main source of nutrition information coming directly from my SACE Stage 2 Nutrition text book. This is a
highly reliable source as it is an official SACE text book written for the stage 2 nutrition course. The authors of this book, Karen Magee and Meredith
Oliver, are also both highly experienced stage 2 teachers, with specialist backgrounds in nutrition. This information was exceedingly helpful as it helped
me when choosing specific foods to add to my designed primary school canteen menu. The information was also useful when discussing the benefits
and nutritional needs of primary school children in my outcome
The psychological aspects evident in Jamie's School Dinners were further expanded on by one of my interviews with a studying psychologist. This
interview was in–depth and I gained a more comprehensive understanding of the reasons why children refuse to eat various foods, and the various
reasons they prefer other foods. The process of conducting the interview was managed successfully as first I emailed many different psychologists,

Research Article On Internet Regulation
Research Paper on Internet Regulation
The primary focus of this research is about internet regulation. In this contemporary society, the internet has become part of many people, and it serves
several purposes among the world at large. Globally, the phenomenon about the Internet regulation is on the rise since several countries execute such
policies, right from Asian authoritarian systems to the Western democracies. Surprisingly, the enormous majority of theInternet users are not cognizant
that they use an already filtered form of the World Wide Web because of the non
–transparent guiding principle of sundry governments that can lead to a
very chancy precedent for the future of the Internet. Additional countries have started to substitute the simple way of gaining access to various
websites with more refined techniques that give Internet Service Providers the opening to regulate the Internet with efficiency and ease. Well, a decade
ago, Internet regulation at a domestic level was utilized exclusively by the authoritarian systems, but since then several Western democracies have
fulfilled (or attempted to implement) same systems. By 2009, the number of nations that had experienced particular kind of Web censorship had
doubled up over 2008. The trend exposes a gradual enactment of Internet regulation structures at a domestic level.
The probability of the regulations premeditated to fiat the internet usage has been a matter of fierce debate around the world. Internet regulation

Internet Research
Internet Research Use Internet research from at least two articles to explain the extent to which you believe globalization will change the field of
security in the future Globalization is making the security situation much more volatile in the future. This is because advancements in technology have
made communication easier. For most countries, this means that they have access to news and other information quickly. The problem is that some
people could do things that will insight others and engage in activities to create unrest. (Yudhoyono, 2012) A good example of this can be seen with the
anti–Islamic film that depicted the Profit Mohammed as a child molester. In America, these kinds of movies are protected by the Constitution.
However, in Muslim countries this creates negative animosities and sentiments. When this happens, the security situation will deteriorate. (Yudhoyono,
2012) In Indonesia this outraged a large number of Muslims who believed that this was another attempt by the West to impose their values on them.
This led to many people lashing out in protest against the film and anything Western. These issues are showing how the security situation will become
more volatile in the future. It is at this point that something small (such as a movie) could become a major incident in different regions of the world.
(Yudhoyono, 2012) Evidence of this can be seen with Yudhoyono (2012) saying, "The end of the Cold War did not make the world more secure,

governments to control as well as govern the idea of internet privacy. Technological advancements across the globe in the recent past have had a rise
with the use of the internet. People have more access to gadgets with the power to navigate the internet with ease. It is also important to note that

The 9/11 attacks on US soil changed the perception that people had about internet privacy. The attention was on consumer privacy issues resulting

Is the Internet Making Us Lazy? How Technology Affects Learning and Focus

  • 1. The Research Methods Of Internet Articles There were four research methods that were used in this research question. The use of internet articles, email interview, library books and visits to the museum. Out of all those research methods, the most effective was the internet articles and the visits to the SA museum. In this evaluation the four research methods will be discussed in details along with their pros and cons. Internet articles were one of the main research methods, and it was chosen because using search engines such as google offers a large range of information in seconds. However, even when most information was fairly accurate, there are still mistakes. It would be up to the researcher to identify if the source was credible. Some of the articles were written by organisations, some by professors and some are more like personal blogs. This was not hard to overcome, as stated previously that scab analysis can be done roughly for each source. It would take too much time to do one for every source, but generally a trustworthy source can be identified if they have a credible author and the correct information. To be able to recognise if the information within was correct, multiple websites on the same topic were opened and compared. This will make sure the source is as reliable as it can be. Overall internet was extremely helpful in researching. The deep ocean was only explored so much; there were limited information on what can be found. Internet was a place where the majority of them gathered. This method of research contributed to most of the references in the final outcome. The second research method was the email interview with a marine biology professor. The research question is in the area of marine biology, and a marine biology professor would be best suited for an interview on this question. This method was chosen because it is a great primary source. Primary sources are needed in research project to make ... Get more on HelpWriting.net ...
  • 2. The Internet Plagiarism Explosion Essay A great deal has been published in the media about the "explosion" of Internet plagiarism among high school and college students. Because the Internet is so young, there have been few studies conducted on the extent of Internet plagiarism. However, existing studies do show that the Internet is an extremely popular tool students use to cheat on written assignments. In any group of students, some will choose the path of academic dishonesty and copy the words or ideas of another person without giving credit to the author. The advent of the Internet has openednew ways for students to plagiarize written material. Not only can students copy material from individual Web sites, but they can use an online paper mill to pay for and receive an ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ... Some, including www.collegetermpapers.com, offer papers for free. (All of these sites were found in a search for "term papers" using the Google search engine.) Although papers are readily available for downloading from paper mills, the quality of those papers is usually poor. An investigative report conducted by U.S. News & World Report evaluated the quality of four papers purchased from Internet mills. University professors evaluated each of the papers and judged their quality to be mediocre at best (Kleiner, 1999, para. 4). Studies reach conflicting conclusions on the extent of plagiarism and cheating in American high schools and colleges. An article in the Toronto Star cites a study conducted by "Who's Who Among American High School Students" that found that four–fifths of high school students surveyed reported cheating (Walker, 2001, para. 28). The Center for Academic Integrity found that 72 percent of high school students admit to "serious cheating on written assignments" and over 50 percent plagiarized material from the Internet (CAI Research, 2001, para. 7). The Los Angeles Times paraphrased the founder of the Center for Academic Integrity: "Although a majority of high school students admit cheating at one time or another, technological advances such as the Internet have not had a significant effect on the overall number of cheaters. Of students who admitted to ... Get more on HelpWriting.net ...
  • 3. Argumentative Research On My Internet Footprint After conducting an exhaustive research on my Internet Footprint, I have found information that one would find in a phone book such as my address & home phone number. However, one of the surprising things I found were people I was associated with, particularly family members, age demographic, & my date of birth. Most of this information is found on typical people search sites such as Whitepages, Spokeo, Intelius, & 411. While I would like to find out if any other personal information is posted on those sites, I am prompted to pay for additional services in order to access that possible information. In terms of Google/Bing search images, I have found no existing pictures. Since I have multiple e–mail addresses, I cross–referenced my name with my e–mail addresses to see if it is associated any name other than my own. I have found no association nor any presence online even with an advanced search of Google or Bing. ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ... As of this date, my Facebook account no longer exists nor are there any potentially damaging images as I rarely posted images online while it was still active. While I have no Twitter, Instagram, or past MySpace account, I nevertheless checked to ensure that my name was not used in the form of a hoax. • 4. Egg Drop Challenge Egg Drop Challenge Have you ever heard of drop the egg challenge? Well, I'm here to tell you about my drop the egg challenge. You have to drop the egg from a distance in the air, but the egg cannot crack. Yes, it is possible. Here's the supplies my partner and I used. We had a bowl, rocks, cardboard, four paper towel rolls, gorilla tape, hot glue gun, and of course an EGG! First we placed the rocks in the bowl, then glued a square foot piece of cardboard on top of the bowl, next we glued/taped the paper towel rolls (on top of the cardboard glued to the bowl), after we cut a small circle in a small square piece of cardboard (so the egg can fit in it), therefor we glued the egg in the circle and we cut a half of a bottle and put it ... • 5. Annotated Bibliography: Social Implications Of The Internet Annotated Bibliography The main sources used and gathered within this research paper came from my initial searches using Google Scholar. I went through many articles before choosing the best ones. When deciphering which articles I would and wouldn't use, I looked at facts such, the dates they were published, the scholarly authors, and so on. Articles from journals posed better sources for my research than simple and biased articles by everyday people. It was a little frustrating to find ones that I felt as though were reliable. Social Implications of the Internet was my favorite article because I felt as though it gave me a lot of useful and interesting information from sociologists. I chose to write about social communication through the internet for a variety of reasons. First, I believe it is a growing practice and I want to learn more about why. Next, it is a phenomenon that it enables us to communicate with anyone, anywhere, at any time. Lastly, it is an easy and fast form of communication and there is proof of that through the growth and popularity of social media. My audience is digital immigrants. It states that students today are not as good at learning as students were in the past, but that the Internet helps them make up for some of their trouble with learning. Most teenagers around the world use the Internet to help them with school. Schools use the Internet to change and improve the way they teach. A study of 25 students that involved interviewing them about how they do their school assignments concluded that all of the students use the Internet in their school work, and that most of them see regular books as boring. • 6. Is The Internet Making Us Lazy Research Paper Isn't it ironic that the internet has negative effects on us? Shouldn't the internet be making us smarter and more intelligent? How the internet affects us depends on the way we use it. There are different ways we use the internet but it is mainly for help on something. There is a cheating kind of help and a research kind of help. Using the internet to copy answers for homework leads to misuse and therefore has a negative effect on us. However, using the internet for research for a project is helpful: people actually learn something. Even though the internet may tend to have more negative than positive effects, both contribute to the changing sociological effects caused by the internet. Since people are using the internet more than ever, it leads to a loss of focus on other tasks such as reading. According to Nicholas Carr in, "Is Google Making Us Stupid" he ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ... In "The Internet has Made Us Lazy," Brian Reich analyzes the causes to why it has made us lazy. He explains that the internet and technology has changed the way we communicate and operate–and not all for the better (Reich 1). Reich indicates that the internet has made us lazy because we settle for satisfaction instead of working hard to make things happen. Also, in "You Won't Finish this Article," Farhad Manjoo examines how people are too lazy to finish reading online articles because of the habits they have produced over time. For example, he provides charts and statistics that support that people are too lazy to finish reading articles: "Schwartz tells me that on a typical Slate page only 25 percent of readers make it past the 1,600th pixel of the page" (Manjoo 2). We have developed habits that make us lazy. For instance, we skim articles to find an answer for a homework question and then we stop once we find an answer and write it down. Since we do this over and over, it leads to lazy habits, which all stem from the ... Get more on HelpWriting.net ...

  • 8. A Research Study On The Internet YouTube posed somewhat of a question mark in my household when it came pre–downloaded onto my mother's first iPhone in 2007. Only two years after its creation, the app's icon resembled a brown, old fashioned TV– nothing like the vivid, red play button that is used now. My mum deleted the app, convinced there was no need for it. I discovered just how wrong she was in March 2012 when at thirteen I turned to YouTubeto learn how to sing 'On My Own' from Les Miserables for a school competition. It was clear that I rarely used the internet as my research history on my small but heavy pink laptop consisted of the welfare of Mekong dolphins (googled for a biology project) and clairesaccessories.com. After watching an array of professional singers, I came across the wide range of 'covers'– a new concept to me– that YouTube had on offer. Up until this point I thought the internet was exclusive to celebrities; singers and movie stars and the occasional X Factor finalist, but as I gazed into the small screen of my laptop, I saw girls within my age group, proudly displaying themselves for anyone who wanted to see. First I watched a girl named Carrie Hope Fletcher. She was eighteen and had blonde curls springing from her head in every direction, pulling me into her channel, 'itswaypastmybedtime,' which was packed with different covers where she even played the piano or guitar, and plastered in book reviews and Harry Potter references. She was like the presenter of a TV show that had been ... Get more on HelpWriting.net ...

During that period, computer and internet are among the fastest developed technologies. But in that particular period, there have been similar dawns. Films, radio, records, broadcast television, audiotape, videotape, programmed learning machines, etc. These changes of technologies have also affected our learning institutions such as school, college and universities. • 11. Doing Research On The Internet Doing Research on the Internet With the information age has come the attitude of "if you can think of it, you can find it on the Internet." It's difficult to argue the sentiment when you can find out interesting facts such as who has the longest hair in the world, how fast the Earth rotates around its axis, or how much India's population grew in 2012. Is It Online? Though it may be the easiest place to begin researching, there are times when the Internet doesn't hold the answer. If you're looking for up–to–date research in the fields of industry and academia, consider looking for online academic and trade journals. If you need census data, government websites may be your best bet. Journals If scientific and scholarly journals are needed, you have several options. The most accessible option is the open access journal. You can find over 10,000 of them through the Directory of Open Access Journals. At a time when finding scholarly information on the Internet is difficult, the site strongly promotes increased adoption and visibility of these types of journals. JSTOR is another option for academic and scholarly journals. However, the service is limited to those fortunate enough to have access to a library, school, or university that subscribes to the service. While searches using Google Scholar do reveal many JSTOR articles, those articles are essentially useless without direct access. Directories Another useful tool is the Web directory. Simons, like Blasko, views sexual violence as a serious social problem with "devastating consequences." Sharing similar comprehension about the three major groups of sex offending–adult male rapists, adult child molesters, and female sexual offenders, Simons also emphasized the growing occurrence in internet offending, due to the widespread availability of pornography in the internet (Delmonico &Griffin, 2008) Internet becomes a vehicle for child abuse to view, and share pornographic images of children, and luring child victims online. The internet has made education better for teachers, student and parents however the use of the "information super highway" does not have its faults. What are some solutions to problems such as cheating, plagiarism and the validity of the information online? Ethics, honesty, and fairness in online education are always concerns because of the quick internet transferring of information available to our students. There are numerous ways that educators can help minimize this problem. Some action steps that are readily available to online internet education are TURNITIN which is plagiarism detection software, remote live PROCTORING which uses web cams and humans monitoring several screens in the room where students are connecting to their assignments online, a LOCKDOWN BROWSER can be downloaded to the students computer which prevents students looking up things during an exam, and there are KEYSTROKE RECOGNITION devices that recognize the student and assures that the work is done by that student. Educators have to pay attention to the criticisms as well. Some of the criticisms to examine are the claims that the internet is unreliable, students don't get group interaction, teaching profession put at risk, no way to measure truth in learning, students sheltered from real world, learning is impersonal, and prevents students from learning how to communicate. As high school students we are required to write essays, and for that we are allowed to use school computers for research purposes, yet there is always a flaw with technology. • 34. A Research Project On Food And Nutrition, Watching Jamie... My research project question was inspired by my overweight friend in year 5, who used to purchase lunch orders from the school canteen every day. Studying Stage 2 Nutrition lead me to become further intrigued by this topic and drew me to question how the school canteen could have contributed to friend's weight issues and why some canteens are still less inclined to act on the issue of obesity than other school canteens. My research into this topic consisted of two interviews, a primary school survey, literature review of various books on food and nutrition, watching Jamie's School Dinners documentary series, and internet research. My outcome is in the form of a report explaining the results of my research. The key finding of my research ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ... Even though the study was conducted eleven years ago, through cross reference with other sources, I found similar problems and concerns evident in the documentary series are still consistent and current with today's primary school children. The nutritional evidence from Jamie's School Dinners was further supported by my literature research. The information found by my literature research was highly reliable due to my main source of nutrition information coming directly from my SACE Stage 2 Nutrition text book. This is a highly reliable source as it is an official SACE text book written for the stage 2 nutrition course. The authors of this book, Karen Magee and Meredith Oliver, are also both highly experienced stage 2 teachers, with specialist backgrounds in nutrition. This information was exceedingly helpful as it helped me when choosing specific foods to add to my designed primary school canteen menu. The information was also useful when discussing the benefits and nutritional needs of primary school children in my outcome The psychological aspects evident in Jamie's School Dinners were further expanded on by one of my interviews with a studying psychologist. This interview was in–depth and I gained a more comprehensive understanding of the reasons why children refuse to eat various foods, and the various reasons they prefer other foods. The process of conducting the interview was managed successfully as first I emailed many different psychologists, however, I ... Get more on HelpWriting.net ...

Globally, the phenomenon about the Internet regulation is on the rise since several countries execute such policies, right from Asian authoritarian systems to the Western democracies. Surprisingly, the enormous majority of theInternet users are not cognizant that they use an already filtered form of the World Wide Web because of the non –transparent guiding principle of sundry governments that can lead to a very chancy precedent for the future of the Internet. Additional countries have started to substitute the simple way of gaining access to various websites with more refined techniques that give Internet Service Providers the opening to regulate the Internet with efficiency and ease. Well, a decade ago, Internet regulation at a domestic level was utilized exclusively by the authoritarian systems, but since then several Western democracies have fulfilled (or attempted to implement) same systems. By 2009, the number of nations that had experienced particular kind of Web censorship had doubled up over 2008. Cat Video Analysis The article "Emotion regulation, procrastination, and watching cat videos online: Who watches Internet cats, why, and to what effect?" by Jessica Myrick examines cat videos on the internet, the reason we watch them what effect they have on those that watch them. Myrick surveyed nearly 7000 internet users for their survey and it "tested associations between personality traits, past behavior, and viewing cat–related media online, as well as examined Internet users' motivations for consuming cat–related content, including emotion regulation and procrastination" (Myrick 168). This was one of the first surveys that examined cat videos and their effect on those who watch them. Myrick also suggested on page 175, "using interviews to get new information "as to why and to what effect internet users view cat videos and photos". • 39. Internet Research Internet Research Use Internet research from at least two articles to explain the extent to which you believe globalization will change the field of security in the future Globalization is making the security situation much more volatile in the future. This is because advancements in technology have made communication easier. For most countries, this means that they have access to news and other information quickly. The problem is that some people could do things that will insight others and engage in activities to create unrest. (Yudhoyono, 2012) A good example of this can be seen with the anti–Islamic film that depicted the Profit Mohammed as a child molester. In America, these kinds of movies are protected by the Constitution. However, in Muslim countries this creates negative animosities and sentiments. When this happens, the security situation will deteriorate. (Yudhoyono, 2012) In Indonesia this outraged a large number of Muslims who believed that this was another attempt by the West to impose their values on them. This led to many people lashing out in protest against the film and anything Western. These issues are showing how the security situation will become more volatile in the future. It is at this point that something small (such as a movie) could become a major incident in different regions of the world. (Yudhoyono, 2012) Evidence of this can be seen with Yudhoyono (2012) saying, "The end of the Cold War did not make the world more secure, peaceful ... Get more on HelpWriting.net ...
