2. Applying a Theme
• Theme is a combination of colors, fonts,
formatting, graphics and other elements that
gives the presentation a coherent look.
• change the theme applied to a presentation –
select the Design Tab.
3. • SWITCHING TO A DIFFERENT COLOR SCHEME
– Every presentation you create with PowerPoint
2007, even a blank one, has a set of color
associated with it.
– This color scheme consists of 12 complementary
colors :
• In the palette displayed in color galleries such as the
font color gallery in the font group on the home tab,
• 10 to 12 colors appear with light to dark gradients.
• create professional looking presentations that use an
appropriate balance of color.
4. • View the color scheme
– create new theme colors at the bottom of the
colors gallery and assembling colors in the create
New theme colors dialog box.
5. How to Open Create New Theme Colors
1. In the themes group on the design tab, click the
colors button.
2. At the bottom of the colors gallery, click create new
theme colors
3. The create new theme colors dialog box opens,
displaying the verve theme colors.
4. In the theme colors area, click the text background
dark 2 button.
5. A gallery of colors related to the verve theme colors
opens.
6. You can give any colors at the bottom of the dialog
box, click save.
6. • Changing a themes fonts and effects:
1. On the design tab, in the themes group, click the
font’s button.
2. Click the font combination you want to use in
the current presentation.
3. On the design tab, the themes group, click the
effects button.
4. Click the effect combination you want to use in
the current presentation.
7. USING COLORS THAT ARE NOT ART OF THE SCHEME
• You can add colors that are not art of the color scheme by
selecting the element whose color you want to change and
then choosing a standard color from the colors palette .
How to change of a slide title
– 1. On the Home tab, in the font group, click the font color arrow.
– A color palette appears.
8. ADDING SHADING AND TEXTURE TO THE
BACKGROUND OF A SLIDE
• 1. On the design tab, in the background group, click the
background styles button.
9. ADDING A PICTURE TO THE SLIDE BACKGROUND
• You can add a picture to a slides background, either as a single object or
as a tiled image that fills the entire slide.
• 1. On the design tab, in the background group, click the background styles
button, and then click format background.
• 2. In the format background dialog box, click the picture or texture fill
options.
10. DELIVERING A PRESENTATION ELECTRONICALLY
• In Microsoft PowerPoint 2007, you can easily deliver a
presentation from your computer as an electronic slide show.
Slide show view:
In slide show view, instead of the slide appearing in a
presentation window within the PowerPoint program
window, the slide occupies the entire screen.
