Project Analysis
Methodology
The project is addressed as an analytical site–specific based, that focuses to create a stronger
coherence between public life with plans for existing building structures. The design approach for
this project is studio experimentation. Through action and reflection process, the practice works in
relation to extrapolate probability and plausibility for Sydney urban public space – as a metaphor of
improvisation. This method includes observation, computer modelling, and 3d models/maquettes.
First, the observation is conducted in several Central Sydney's laneways. And it is used for
acquiring primary data to understand the context, and to aware of our creative process (Carole Gray
& Julian Malins, 2004). This method assists in the...show more content...
This tour became a self–walking guidance that engages researcher's movements with the
laneway–to–laneway experience. Through this research, it forms self–observation through analysing
and planning by researcher's experiences of being in the world itself. The observation has become
an extension of the visual memory (Setha Low 2003).
As a result, the observation has led to an experimental assessment of the laneways. This findings
performs many similar aspects of the geometry system in Central Sydney's laneways. In Honours B,
this project has taken more in–depth site analysis and measurements of laneways in Central Sydney.
In particular, in the area of Martin Place, Wynyard, and Circular Quay. And focusing on York Lane,
Bridge Lane, Abercrombie Lane, Custom House Lane, Loftus Lane, and Phillip Lane. All this lane
illustrates the most similarity of its system and structural components (figure 5).
Figure 5. Central Sydney Laneway Structure in Dimension, AutoCAD (Sherli Liu, 2017)
For examples, the laneway is consists as connected lanes with one lane and another. It has the
similarities in width and length, and pedestrian steps are needed to walk in a laneway. Moreover, it
contains same furnishings and amenities, and a similar pattern of building structures. Therefore, it
has set–up a framework and working dimension for experimentation of the object system, and its
attachments to the laneway.

Art Analysis Essay
Though most works of art have some underlying, deeper meaning attached to them, our first
impression of their significance comes through our initial visual interpretation. When we first view a
painting or a statue or other piece of art, we notice first the visual details – its size, its medium, its
color, and its condition, for example – before we begin to ponder its greater significance. Indeed,
these visual clues are just as important as any other interpretation or meaning of a work, for they
allow us to understand just what that deeper meaning is. The expression on a statue's face tells us
the emotion and message that the artist is trying to convey. Its color, too, can provide clues: darker
or lighter colors can play a role in how we...show more content...
The Stele depicts a simple scene: a seated man and standing woman behind him stare blankly
straight ahead. A woman standing on the left looks down upon them. All of them are ordinary
humans. They are not gods or goddesses. They are private people. Their clothing is plain,
consisting of simple robes. It is representational of a regular family mourning the loss of one of its
members, a scene that most people, even today, are able to relate to hundreds or even thousands of
years later.
The stele conveys a solemn forlornness that can be seen in the figures' faces. Their mouths are
tightly shut; their eyes gaze blankly ahead. The woman on the left stares ahead with little emotion
on her face. The stele does not depict any motion. All of the figures are standing (or sitting) still, in
quiet memorial. This solemnity adds to the emotion of a grave where the stele once stood. There is
no real clear answer as to who is being mourned. Are the seated man and the woman mourning the
loss of their daughter, on the left? Or is the woman on the left mourning the loss of a father? The
sculpture's ambiguity also adds to the emotion that it evokes. It might even be appropriate for its
purpose. Its function was to mark a gravesite – the site of the body of someone who has died. Death
is one of the most complex parts of life. It is the most ambiguous, for nobody knows for sure what
happens in death. The ambiguity of the stele highlights

He killed Grendel bare handedly and saved the city from losing any more lives. People have come
to expect the good guy to always save the day, whether he dies or not. Significant morals and
opinions are shown in stories made up of good and evil. Teachers have their students read fairy tales
at a young age to teach morals of everyday life.
For instance, in the tale of Beauty and the Beast, a strong moral is placed. The author made it
clear to their audience that "you should not judge a person by the way they look." Another
example of morals in good versus evil epics could be Cinderella, where the evil stepsisters learn
that being cruel can come back in the long run to haunt you. Society's views have changed over
time by the reality brought out in good and evil. People used to feel certain ways about different
issues, until morals came out of good and evil tales.
Slavery was once considered a good thing. Slaves helped do all the hard work the owners didn't
have time for. Segregation was also considered a good thing. Schools, businesses, and even public
restrooms were segregated, keeping the "dirty" black from disturbing the "clean" white.
Martin Luther King Jr. came along and made a statement. He proved to everyone that slavery and
segregation was evil and not necessary for the U.S. The views on racism have since then changed,
making everyone have equal rights. Good and evil represented the two different

Outline To Write A Speech Analysis
My speech seemed to be going well in my opinion until I saw the five–minute mark and I was only
half way through my second point. I still had my entire third point and the conclusion. When I
reached the six–minute mark, I was finishing up my second point. I am surprised Mr. Stauffer let me
finish the speech. I ended the speech at eight minutes and twenty–four seconds, the time keeper kept
the stop–watch going to see what I would end at. The only thing I did to prepare was make my
visual aid and write my outline. Other than that I did nothing to prepare for my speech. When I got

my friends. I would have been able to finish my speech in time. I felt that my nervous traits did

Analysis Of 'Out, Out' By Robert Frost
Lian Hearn says, "Death comes suddenly and life is fragile and brief...". In Robert Frost's poem
'Out, Out–', the author frequently demonstrates the fragility of life and death's ability to change it in
an instant, through the use of literary allusions, imagery, personification, and tension. These devices
are used to help illustrate to the readers the fragility of life and how death can turn an ordinary day
into a catastrophic one. Throughout the poem, Frost focuses on the theme of death and its capricious
nature that can affect anyone at anytime.
Frost starts off the poem by using the title to allude to Shakespeare's Macbeth and employing a blank
verse to contribute to the idea of life's delicacy and death's ability to alter anyone's life at any
moment.
When Frost alludes to Shakespeare he is demonstrating life's ability to be cut off abruptly and gone
in a flicker. In Shakespeare's Macbeth, after Macbeth's wife has died, Macbeth says "Out, out brief
candle" (Shakespeare), and Frost's poem is entitled 'Out, Out–'. By not only alluding to this passage,
but taking it and cutting it off, Frost demonstrates the fragility of life and how life can be cut
short easily. By excluding the brief candle portion of the text, Frost implies the abruptness of
death and how life can be gone in the flash of second, just like a candle can be blown out in a
second by a simple breeze or huge gust of wind.
Additionally, the use of a blank verse makes the poem unpredictable since there is no regular rhyme
scheme. The entirety of the poem sticks to blank verse and refrains from a rhyming pattern. This
emphasizes that because of the blank verse, the poet is allowed a freedom that is not usually
attainable with a rhyme scheme and Frost uses this to his advantage by indicating that death is
unpredictable, just as the rhyme scheme in his poem is. Lastly, the iambic pentameter is known as a
heartbeat rhythm, and Frost uses it to represent the life of the boy. The entire poem is set to an
iambic pentameter, and when Frost says, "So. But the hand was already gone," (Frost), he creates an
irregular rhythm and uses it to demonstrate the boy's death. By creating a sudden irregular rhythm,
Frost demonstrates how death is something that

The insane connection
II. Paragraph 1: Introduction (Use HATMAT)
A. HOOK!!
B. Authors Edgar Allan Poe and Emily Dickinson both use structural choices repetition, punctuation,
and tone to shape the central idea of madness.
C. Within "The Tell–tale heart" and "I felt a funeral in my brain" both writers write about the death of
someone or something.
D. Neither stories state the narrators' names but throughout the stories, both are in first person point
of view.
E. Poe's story is about the narrator who is obsessed with an old man's "vulture eye" that causes the
narrator to kill the old man and later after guilt starts to kick in, the narrator admits his crime to the
police. Dickinson's story is about the main character feeling a funeral in her brain where treading
mourners gather and the narrator falls into something that isn't stated but can be interpreted as the
narrator falling into their grave.
F. Throughout the two stories, the author's use different structural choices that both develop the
central idea madness though they are different definitions of madness.
III. Paragraph 2: First Body Paragraph
A. One of the structural choices is repetition that both stories use to shape the central idea of
madness.
B. Context for the quote

narrator is hearing a drum.

Why people tell lie outline
Let's say that, we always hear lies everywhere. Lies can hurt other people, and lies can be a joke to
have fun with everyone. Lies can also be a way to glossing over the fact. Lies can protect who are
telling the lie. Everyone lies, although the ideas of lying to people are wrong, but people still lie
about anything in their life. In this essay, it will talk about which ways people will lie and how they
lie.
1: Sometimes, some people will use a lie to hurt or laugh at someone.
1: To make fun of other people

Sometimes, some people will use a lie to hurt or laugh at someone. For example, when I was in
primary school, my classmate enjoyed to laugh with someone in my class. Maybe they want to
make fun of people, but they always make other people feel really bad of themselves. My teachers
always told us to not do those awful things to other, but they didn't care about that. They still make
fun of other students. I think it is an immoral way to use lie because that would hurt not on the
body, but on the spiritual side! If the spiritual gets hurt, it is harder to recover than physique pain!
Also, my classmate could destroy a person childhood. It is the fact and grave! Lie can destroy
everything not only childhood!
Lies can be one kind of believe and have fun. For example, if the father and mother tell their kids
about Christmas has Santa Claus, who gives Christmas presents to their kids. Some kids usually
believe in Santa Claus. In the future, the kids will know it is not true, but they will think it was a
good memory in their childhood! I think it is a good way to use lie. Lying can be fun, but doesn't
use it in a bad way on other person because it will lets the person get hurt like my classmate.
In my daily life, people always lie for purpose. For instance, my friend would like to transfer to
California's college. The college required the TOEFL test, and she has already prepared for the test
and waited to transfer

Romeo and Juliet Analytical Essay
A Taste of Shakespeare– 'Romeo and Juliet'
William Shakespeare is widely known for all of his literary works; one of his most famous love
tragedies being 'Romeo and Juliet'. A Shakespearean definition of tragedy exemplifies the sense that
human beings are inevitably doomed through their own failures or errors, the ironic action of their
virtues, or even through the nature of fate and destiny (Sayour, Susan, 2007). Romeo and Juliet is a
tragic tale based on two young star–crossed lovers whose deaths ultimately unite their feuding
families. Throughout the play, Shakespeare intentionally draws on text structures and language
features in order to replicate the attitudes, values and beliefs of Elizabethan audiences and intertwine
it into his...show more content...
However, Juliet soon stumbles upon her fate when she finally meets Romeo and instantly falls in love
with him, despite him being the son of her family's enemy. Shakespeare's text structure depicts Juliet
as someone who is reckless, and does not stop long enough to evaluate the full consequences of her
actions. "Farewell!–God knows when we shall meet again. I have a faint cold fear thrills through
my veins. That almost freezes up the heat of life. I'll call them back again to comfort me. –
Nurse!–what should she do here" (4:3:14–18). Shakespeare uses paradox, hyperbole, apostrophe and
oxymoron to convey the violence of emotions in Romeo and Juliet as also the 'sweet lyricism of
young passionate love' (Albertan A, 2003). His clever use of dramatic structure enables the audience
to switch between comedy and tragedy to heighten the tension, leading up to the heartrending
climax. "O, look! Methinks I see my cousin's ghost Seeking out Romeo that did spit his body, upon
a rapier's point: – stay, Tybalt, stay!" (4:3:19–21). This apostrophe is a solitary example of the
establishment of tragedy within the play, showing how two star–crossed lovers have a destiny with
death.
William Shakespeare's Romeo and Juliet is undeniably one of the most eminent tales of tragedy ever
written. Act 4, Scene 3 has ingeniously demonstrated how the plot and themes, and characterization

Analytical Behaviourism is an empiricist view that was popular in the 1950s, and 60s. It was
regarded as a scientific study of the mind, unlike psychological behaviourism. Popular behaviourists
include Tom Nagel, Hempel and Ryle. Behaviourists believe that every time we talk about the mind
we are infact talking about either actual, or possible, behaviour. So we are speaking about just
physical substances and attributes, and nothing non–physical. Behaviourists reject the existence of
mental states `sui generis', (as something in their own right). As behaviourism is all to do with the
physical, behaviourism is a form of materialism. It claims to solve the mind and body problem,
aswell as the problem of other minds, solipsism....show more content...
Each of us has a concept of anger as an emotional state, not as a behaviourist state, so it seems to
make sense that anger is not purely a behaviourist state, but is most definitely also what we feel it
to be, and how we experience it. Behaviourism also seems to confuse what identifies mentality with
what mentality actually is, for example Litmus paper identifies acids from alkalis, but is not the
difference between them, in the same way that certain behaviour can identify certain ways we must
feel, but is not the be all and end all of who we are.
If behaviour is caused by mental states, which it does appear to be, then surely we have two
entities and not one? Behaviourism seems to ignore this, but it is a problem because something
cannot cause itself, but must be caused by something separate. There must be at least two
entities, in order for there to be cause and effect. Another criticism of behaviourism is that we
could never learn words which refer to how we feel, for example anger, if we did not know what
it was in our mind. We can refer to anger, fear, excitement, etc because we have experience of what
these feel like, we do not only simply visualise the behaviour associated with these feelings in order
to understand them, we also remember what this

Project Analysis Methodology The project is addressed as an analytical site–specific based, that focuses to create a stronger coherence between public life with plans for existing building structures. The design approach for this project is studio experimentation. Through action and reflection process, the practice works in relation to extrapolate probability and plausibility for Sydney urban public space – as a metaphor of improvisation. This method includes observation, computer modelling, and 3d models/maquettes. First, the observation is conducted in several Central Sydney's laneways. And it is used for acquiring primary data to understand the context, and to aware of our creative process (Carole Gray & Julian Malins, 2004). This method assists in the...show more content... Through this research, it forms self–observation through analysing and planning by researcher's experiences of being in the world itself. The observation has become an extension of the visual memory (Setha Low 2003). As a result, the observation has led to an experimental assessment of the laneways. This findings performs many similar aspects of the geometry system in Central Sydney's laneways. In Honours B, this project has taken more in–depth site analysis and measurements of laneways in Central Sydney. In particular, in the area of Martin Place, Wynyard, and Circular Quay. And focusing on York Lane, Bridge Lane, Abercrombie Lane, Custom House Lane, Loftus Lane, and Phillip Lane. All this lane illustrates the most similarity of its system and structural components (figure 5). Figure 5. It has the similarities in width and length, and pedestrian steps are needed to walk in a laneway. Moreover, it contains same furnishings and amenities, and a similar pattern of building structures. Therefore, it has set–up a framework and working dimension for experimentation of the object system, and its attachments to the laneway. • 4. Art Analysis Essay Though most works of art have some underlying, deeper meaning attached to them, our first impression of their significance comes through our initial visual interpretation. When we first view a painting or a statue or other piece of art, we notice first the visual details – its size, its medium, its color, and its condition, for example – before we begin to ponder its greater significance. Indeed, these visual clues are just as important as any other interpretation or meaning of a work, for they allow us to understand just what that deeper meaning is. The expression on a statue's face tells us the emotion and message that the artist is trying to convey. Its color, too, can provide clues: darker or lighter colors can play a role in how we...show more content... The Stele depicts a simple scene: a seated man and standing woman behind him stare blankly straight ahead. A woman standing on the left looks down upon them. All of them are ordinary humans. They are not gods or goddesses. They are private people. Their clothing is plain, consisting of simple robes. It is representational of a regular family mourning the loss of one of its members, a scene that most people, even today, are able to relate to hundreds or even thousands of years later. The stele conveys a solemn forlornness that can be seen in the figures' faces. Their mouths are tightly shut; their eyes gaze blankly ahead. The woman on the left stares ahead with little emotion on her face. The stele does not depict any motion. All of the figures are standing (or sitting) still, in quiet memorial. This solemnity adds to the emotion of a grave where the stele once stood. There is no real clear answer as to who is being mourned. Are the seated man and the woman mourning the loss of their daughter, on the left? Or is the woman on the left mourning the loss of a father? The sculpture's ambiguity also adds to the emotion that it evokes. It might even be appropriate for its purpose. Its function was to mark a gravesite – the site of the body of someone who has died. Death is one of the most complex parts of life. It is the most ambiguous, for nobody knows for sure what happens in death. The ambiguity of the stele highlights Get more content on HelpWriting.net

Significant morals and opinions are shown in stories made up of good and evil. Teachers have their students read fairy tales at a young age to teach morals of everyday life. For instance, in the tale of Beauty and the Beast, a strong moral is placed. The author made it clear to their audience that "you should not judge a person by the way they look." Another example of morals in good versus evil epics could be Cinderella, where the evil stepsisters learn that being cruel can come back in the long run to haunt you. Society's views have changed over time by the reality brought out in good and evil. People used to feel certain ways about different issues, until morals came out of good and evil tales. Slavery was once considered a good thing. Slaves helped do all the hard work the owners didn't have time for. Segregation was also considered a good thing. Schools, businesses, and even public restrooms were segregated, keeping the "dirty" black from disturbing the "clean" white. Martin Luther King Jr. came along and made a statement. • 11. Analysis Of 'Out, Out' By Robert Frost Lian Hearn says, "Death comes suddenly and life is fragile and brief...". In Robert Frost's poem 'Out, Out–', the author frequently demonstrates the fragility of life and death's ability to change it in an instant, through the use of literary allusions, imagery, personification, and tension. These devices are used to help illustrate to the readers the fragility of life and how death can turn an ordinary day into a catastrophic one. Throughout the poem, Frost focuses on the theme of death and its capricious nature that can affect anyone at anytime. Frost starts off the poem by using the title to allude to Shakespeare's Macbeth and employing a blank verse to contribute to the idea of life's delicacy and death's ability to alter anyone's life at any moment. When Frost alludes to Shakespeare he is demonstrating life's ability to be cut off abruptly and gone in a flicker. In Shakespeare's Macbeth, after Macbeth's wife has died, Macbeth says "Out, out brief candle" (Shakespeare), and Frost's poem is entitled 'Out, Out–'. By not only alluding to this passage, but taking it and cutting it off, Frost demonstrates the fragility of life and how life can be cut short easily. By excluding the brief candle portion of the text, Frost implies the abruptness of death and how life can be gone in the flash of second, just like a candle can be blown out in a second by a simple breeze or huge gust of wind. Additionally, the use of a blank verse makes the poem unpredictable since there is no regular rhyme scheme. The entirety of the poem sticks to blank verse and refrains from a rhyming pattern. This emphasizes that because of the blank verse, the poet is allowed a freedom that is not usually attainable with a rhyme scheme and Frost uses this to his advantage by indicating that death is unpredictable, just as the rhyme scheme in his poem is. Lastly, the iambic pentameter is known as a heartbeat rhythm, and Frost uses it to represent the life of the boy. The entire poem is set to an iambic pentameter, and when Frost says, "So. But the hand was already gone," (Frost), he creates an irregular rhythm and uses it to demonstrate the boy's death. By creating a sudden irregular rhythm, Frost demonstrates how death is something that Get more content on HelpWriting.net

Authors Edgar Allan Poe and Emily Dickinson both use structural choices repetition, punctuation, and tone to shape the central idea of madness. C. Within "The Tell–tale heart" and "I felt a funeral in my brain" both writers write about the death of someone or something. D. Neither stories state the narrators' names but throughout the stories, both are in first person point of view. E. Poe's story is about the narrator who is obsessed with an old man's "vulture eye" that causes the narrator to kill the old man and later after guilt starts to kick in, the narrator admits his crime to the police. Sometimes, some people will use a lie to hurt or laugh at someone. For example, when I was in primary school, my classmate enjoyed to laugh with someone in my class. Maybe they want to make fun of people, but they always make other people feel really bad of themselves. My teachers always told us to not do those awful things to other, but they didn't care about that. They still make fun of other students. I think it is an immoral way to use lie because that would hurt not on the body, but on the spiritual side! If the spiritual gets hurt, it is harder to recover than physique pain! Also, my classmate could destroy a person childhood. It is the fact and grave! Lie can destroy everything not only childhood! Lies can be one kind of believe and have fun. For example, if the father and mother tell their kids about Christmas has Santa Claus, who gives Christmas presents to their kids. Some kids usually believe in Santa Claus. In the future, the kids will know it is not true, but they will think it was a good memory in their childhood! I think it is a good way to use lie. Lying can be fun, but doesn't use it in a bad way on other person because it will lets the person get hurt like my classmate. In my daily life, people always lie for purpose. For instance, my friend would like to transfer to California's college. The college required the TOEFL test, and she has already prepared for the test and waited to transfer Get more content on HelpWriting.net

  • 15. Romeo and Juliet Analytical Essay A Taste of Shakespeare– 'Romeo and Juliet' William Shakespeare is widely known for all of his literary works; one of his most famous love tragedies being 'Romeo and Juliet'. A Shakespearean definition of tragedy exemplifies the sense that human beings are inevitably doomed through their own failures or errors, the ironic action of their virtues, or even through the nature of fate and destiny (Sayour, Susan, 2007). Romeo and Juliet is a tragic tale based on two young star–crossed lovers whose deaths ultimately unite their feuding families. Throughout the play, Shakespeare intentionally draws on text structures and language features in order to replicate the attitudes, values and beliefs of Elizabethan audiences and intertwine it into his...show more content... However, Juliet soon stumbles upon her fate when she finally meets Romeo and instantly falls in love with him, despite him being the son of her family's enemy. Shakespeare's text structure depicts Juliet as someone who is reckless, and does not stop long enough to evaluate the full consequences of her actions. "Farewell!–God knows when we shall meet again. I have a faint cold fear thrills through my veins. That almost freezes up the heat of life. I'll call them back again to comfort me. – Nurse!–what should she do here" (4:3:14–18). Shakespeare uses paradox, hyperbole, apostrophe and oxymoron to convey the violence of emotions in Romeo and Juliet as also the 'sweet lyricism of young passionate love' (Albertan A, 2003). His clever use of dramatic structure enables the audience to switch between comedy and tragedy to heighten the tension, leading up to the heartrending climax. "O, look! Methinks I see my cousin's ghost Seeking out Romeo that did spit his body, upon a rapier's point: – stay, Tybalt, stay!" (4:3:19–21). This apostrophe is a solitary example of the establishment of tragedy within the play, showing how two star–crossed lovers have a destiny with death. William Shakespeare's Romeo and Juliet is undeniably one of the most eminent tales of tragedy ever written. Act 4, Scene 3 has ingeniously demonstrated how the plot and themes, and characterization Get more content on HelpWriting.net

  • 17. Analytical Behaviourism is an empiricist view that was popular in the 1950s, and 60s. It was regarded as a scientific study of the mind, unlike psychological behaviourism. Popular behaviourists include Tom Nagel, Hempel and Ryle. Behaviourists believe that every time we talk about the mind we are infact talking about either actual, or possible, behaviour. So we are speaking about just physical substances and attributes, and nothing non–physical. Behaviourists reject the existence of mental states `sui generis', (as something in their own right). As behaviourism is all to do with the physical, behaviourism is a form of materialism. It claims to solve the mind and body problem, aswell as the problem of other minds, solipsism....show more content... Each of us has a concept of anger as an emotional state, not as a behaviourist state, so it seems to make sense that anger is not purely a behaviourist state, but is most definitely also what we feel it to be, and how we experience it. Behaviourism also seems to confuse what identifies mentality with what mentality actually is, for example Litmus paper identifies acids from alkalis, but is not the difference between them, in the same way that certain behaviour can identify certain ways we must feel, but is not the be all and end all of who we are. If behaviour is caused by mental states, which it does appear to be, then surely we have two entities and not one? Behaviourism seems to ignore this, but it is a problem because something cannot cause itself, but must be caused by something separate. There must be at least two entities, in order for there to be cause and effect. Another criticism of behaviourism is that we could never learn words which refer to how we feel, for example anger, if we did not know what it was in our mind. We can refer to anger, fear, excitement, etc because we have experience of what these feel like, we do not only simply visualise the behaviour associated with these feelings in order to understand them, we also remember what this Get more content on HelpWriting.net
