1. Directions for using the story organizer:
1. You must have started and discussed your story with an adult. You must have received approval
to start a story on the ipad.
2. As you work, you must NOT erase the directions on each page.
3. You must use at least two $10.00 words on a page and highlight them.
4. You must use complete sentences and end punctuation.
5. You must check your own spelling.
6. Your pictures are done last after a teacher has approved your story.
7. You must have fun and use your imagination.

2. Shawn and the Bruins

3. Shawn is mostly black with a pink, blue, gray and white body. He is really creepy because he
sneaks up on hockey players after they score a goal. He only sneaks up on the players that he
doesn't like, such as the Providence Canadians, Vancouver Canucks, and Philadelphia Flyers.
One day at the Portland Arena it was the Portland Pirates vs. Providence. The score was 5 to 3.

4. Pirates were winning, but Providence scored a goal. Then Shawn scared the Providence team,
and then the fans were laughing about the Providence team getting scared by Shawn. The fans
knew the creepy guy was Shawn. Everyone knew but the Providence team. The Pirates won in OT
because Providence was too scared. Shawn left the arena and gave everyone a high five. The
same thing happened at Boston and at Washington. After the game this time they were chasing
him, but then he left and started chasing a different person.

5. He returned to the Providence team, and security tried to find Shawn. But Shawn always hides at
different spots in different rinks. They even asked the Pirates. But the Pirates wouldn't tell them.

6. As Shawn was getting ready to scare the other team, the Bruins asked Shawn to be their mascot.
And he said, "Yes!" He really liked the idea because he didn't have to keep hiding.

7. Whenever the Bruins scored Shawn makes funny faces at the opponents. He plays around with
the Bruins at practice and warm up. The Bruins love their new mascot!
