Mintoff released from hospital




                                   Former Prime Minister Dom Mintoff has been released from hospital, just in time to celebrate his
                                   96th birthday on Monday.
                                   The health authorities said in a statement this evening that the cardiology team responsible for
                                   Mr Mintoff’s care reviewed him this morning and he was found to be in a stable condition. He
                                   was discharged home this afternoon. Mr Mintoff has been in hospital for18 days in the Intensive
                                   Therapy Unit and later the Critical Coronary Care Unit.
                                   He had been admitted to Mater Dei suffering from pulmonary edema.
