1. Inter humbled by Udinese
Udinese 3 Inter 0 A second-half salvo earned Udinese all three points with a 3-0 win over the
10 men of Inter at the Stadio Friuli. Antonio Di Natale was on target twice with Luis Muriel also
scoring for Francesco Guidolin’s side, who were aided by a red card for Juan Jesus in the 65th
minute. The win lifts Udinese up to eighth in the table, level on points with AC Milan, who have a
game in hand, while Inter remain in fourth, nine points adrift of league leaders Juventus, who
can extend that advantage later today. The game came to life after an even first half which
included a good chance for the home team and a penalty appeal for the visitors. That came in
the 25th minute when Rodrigo Palacio fell as he passed Maurizio Domizzi, but the referee
booked the Inter forward for diving. Two minutes later, Di Natale rattled the crossbar with a
direct free-kick from 30 yards with Samir Handanovic well beaten. Inter should have taken the
lead in the 50th minute when Antonio Cassano and Palacio combined to set up Jonathan, but
he contrived to send a shot wide of an open goal from just a few yards out. The game then
turned in the space of two minutes with Di Natale putting Udinese in front…
