PITCH LETTER
Dear Amesbury college student alumni:
On October 22-25, 2017, Boston Mass. The Amesbury College school of journalism is holding a
first ever large scale reunion next fall in conjunction with the schools 75th anniversary
celebration. They will be attempting to bring together the thousands of successful graduates of
this school in order to honor their excellence at Amesbury.
This school is the oldest journalism program in the Mid-Atlantic region of the U.S. The current
records show nearly 700 living alumni of the school. Amesbury College is a nationally famous,
small liberal arts college on the East Coast. While the newspaper business has certainly changed
over the years, the school, to its credit has remained on the cutting edge of journalism education.
The current dean of students Dr. Sarah Singh has made several quotable comments, saying
“We’ve never attempted anything like this before, we are expecting a largest turnout.” So this
event should not be disappointing.
Graduates from all classes are invited. Entrance into this event is free. Replies have already been
received from graduates ages 24 to 98. The school’s long history of excellence makes this an
especially important occasion. It is an opportunity to reunite with old classmates and professors.
We encourage all students and alumni to attend this grand event. For more information, please
visit the Amesbury college school of Journalism for more information.
Sincerely,
Alexandra Vidali
