If you were a Project Manager for the Pi Computer, what improvements or new designs do you think would be good for the Pi Computer?
Location 1: Between WWTP and Airport
In the area between Waste Water Treatment Plant and Airport a reservoir will be located there. The reason of having this reservoir is to use it as storage tank where piping to other locations will be derived from that storage tank. Having this reservoir in this area will let to use it for irrigation in the surrounded area of the reservoir. Another benefit of having this reservoir is to make it easy in pumping the water to the different locations. The distance between WWTP to Airport is 4.4 miles (see figure 1). Because this storage is going to be large in size, so the cost will be high relatively. One barrier needs to be passed between WWTP and Airport Area, which is the interstate. As long as the water might be used only for irrigation around the storage, so the level of treatment that is the water has is good.

If you were a Project Manager for the Pi Computer, what
improvements or new designs do you think would be good for
the Pi Computer?
Location 1: Between WWTP and Airport
In the area between Waste Water Treatment Plant and Airport a
reservoir will be located there. The reason of having this
reservoir is to use it as storage tank where piping to other
4. locations will be derived from that storage tank. Having this
reservoir in this area will let to use it for irrigation in the
surrounded area of the reservoir. Another benefit of having this
reservoir is to make it easy in pumping the water to the
different locations. The distance between WWTP to Airport is
4.4 miles (see figure 1). Because this storage is going to be
large in size, so the cost will be high relatively. One barrier
needs to be passed between WWTP and Airport Area, which is
the interstate. As long as the water might be used only for
irrigation around the storage, so the level of treatment that is
the water has is good.
Figure (1)
Location2: Airport
Pocatello Regional Airport is located is a city owned. The
5. airport is built on the site of the Pocatello Army Airfield, World
War II training base. The National Weather Service Pocatello
Office is located at the airport. The airport has about 20,900
passengers boarding during 2010. The distance between the
WWTP to Airport is 4.4 miles through I-86 (see Figure 1). The
cost is about $3,000,000. The Reclaimed water can be used for
irrigation in the airport, fire suppression, cleaning, and toilets.
These kinds of uses do not require a higher level of treatment.
The amount of water that will be consumed is small amount
comparing to the whole amount. Recharging aquifer is another
use in that area. Recharging aquifer does not required any
higher than secondary level of treatment. It is agreeable idea
from citizens for using the reclaimed water in Airport. One
barrier need to be cross is just the interstate.
Location3: Wal-Mart/ Lowes Area
The distance between Wal-Mart /Lowes Area to WWTP is 4.6
miles through I-86 ( see figure 3). As long as the distance is
short, the cost is relatively acceptable is about $4,000,000.
Wal-Mart and Lowes will use small amount of water. The uses
are for car wash, Laundromat, restaurant, and irrigation. These
kinds of uses required high level of treatment to avoid any
consequence in touching the reclaimed water. The amount of
water is used in that area is small. The interstate is the only
barrier that is needed to be pass.
Figure 2
6. Location4: OK Ward Park / Mall
Piping the reclaimed water through US-30 highway, and the
distance is about 4 miles to OK Ward Park and the mall area,
which is approximately close to the WWTP (see figure3).
Estimated cost for driving reclaimed water to the position is
about $4,000,000. Uses of water in this area are for irrigation,
and fire suppression. Uses are limited in this location. Because
of the possibility that people will be in touch with reclaimed
water a higher level of treatment is needed.
Figure 3
7. Location 5: Wellness center and Fair grounds
The distance between Wellness center and Fair ground to
WWTP is 7 miles through I-86 , and the location is relatively
close to the WWTP. Estimated cost for driving water through
PVC pipes is about $3,000,000. At this location reclaimed water
will be used for irrigation, toilets, animals, and construction.
Because people might get in tough with the reclaimed water, it
needs to get higher level of treatment. Two barriers need to be
passed.
Figure 4
8. Location 6: Yellowstone
The distance from Yellowstone Avenue to WWTP is about 6.4
miles through US-30 highway (see figure 5). The variety of
stores along the avenue let the reclaimed water to be used for
different uses. The possible uses are for Animals, car wash,
Laundromat, restaurants, fire suppression, irrigation, and
construction. Driving water to this area is high in cost because.
Though the variety of using water, the amount is uses is
approximately small. Location is far when we compare the
location with the cost that will be spent in construction the
pipes. Two barriers are needed to be pass. To avoid any
consequences in getting in touch with the reclaimed water, this
water need to get high level of treatment.
Figure 5
9. Location 7: Pocatello ready mix
The distance from Pocatello ready mix to WWTP is about 3
miles through US-30 high way (see figure 6). Using reclaimed
water for mixes purpose is highly agreed by people. Uses in
this area are limited for concrete mixes, irrigation, car wash,
and construction. The amount of water is uses small. The
location is close, for that one barrier is needed to pass. Because
using reclaimed water for concrete mixes’ purpose water might
need to get high level of treatment.
10. Figure 6
Location8: Simplot
The distance from Simplot to WWTP is the closest distance
comparing to the other locations, which is about 1.5 miles
through US-30. Cost is low because of the short distance.
People highly agreed of using reclaimed water in Simplot.
Simplot might not need to use the water for many uses.
Possible uses are fertilizer mix, cooling system, construction,
cleaning, toilets, and irrigation. Two barrier are needed to be
pass. One level of treatment is better is better.
11. Figure 7
Location 9: Highland Golf Course
The distance from Highland Golf course to WWTP is about 8
miles through I-86 (see figure 8). The uses are limited for
irrigation. Cost is relatively high because of the long distance to
WWTP. Using the reclaimed water for just irrigation will not
consume high amount of water. Two barriers are needed to be
cross. Reclaimed water need to get additional level of treatment.
Figure 8
Location10: Rose Park/ Riverside Golf Course
The distance from Rose Park and Riverside Golf Course to
12. WWTP is about 8.5 miles through US-30 (see figure 9). The
reclaimed water in these public areas will be used for irrigation,
construction, and animals’ uses. The estimated cost is
relatively high because of its long distance from the location to
WWTP. Using reclaimed water in Rose Park and Riverside Golf
Course is highly agreed by public. Two barriers need to be
passed. The reclaimed water needs to get additional level of
treatment.
Figure 9
Location11: Cemetery
The distance from cemetery to WWTP is 8.9 miles through US-
30 (see figure 10). The long distance makes the estimated cost
for driving the reclaimed water high relatively. Two beneficial
uses are effective at the cemetery irrigation and cleaning. Two
barriers are needed to be cross. Additional level of treatment is
needed.
13. Figure 10
Location 12: Idaho State University
The distance from WWTP to ISU is 7.8 miles through US-30 (
see figure 11). Irrigation, toilets, and construction are three
beneficial uses for the reclaimed water. The long distance
makes the cost relatively high. Using reclaimed water at ISU
will be not very much agreeable by public. Two barriers are
needed to be pass. Additional level of treatment is needed for
reclaimed water.
