Guardian by Seeing Machines is an intelligent driver safety
system that enhances the safety of your fleet and protects
your drivers, helping your business run more efficiently.

of incidents: negative press, loss of cargo, and damaged

and BlackVue forward-facing camera, Guardian is designed
to prevent those costly incidents and protect what matters

Detecting Distraction & Fatigue
Mobile device use and micro-sleeps are two of the most
common unsafe behaviors that impair a driver’s ability to
react in time to potential road hazards.
Guardian works in real-time, using advanced in-cab
sensors and image processing technology to track the
micro-movements of a driver’s eyes and head to detect
driver fatigue, distraction, and inattention.
Alerting the Driver
When Guardian detects a fatigue or distraction event, the
driver receives immediate in-cab alarm sounds and seat
vibration alerts.
In addition, data is transmitted to our 24/7 SafeGuard
Center for analysis by our specialists. If action is required,
your on-call manager will be notified. The Guardian system
is focused on incident prevention, mitigation, and saving lives,
not driver-surveillance.
Preventing the Incident —

Traditional safety systems record data of an incident.
Guardian is the only system designed to prevent
incidents from occurring.
Video event recorder (VER) systems are “after-the-
fact” recorders triggered only by high g-force events.
They can help identify the cause of an accident, but not
prevent it.
Lane departure warning (LDW) systems alert the driver
to a lane departure event, but not to the kind of events
(such as fatigue and distraction) that can cause a lane
departure in the first place.
Guardian is different. And with its unique combination
of in-cab driver sensors and BlackVue forward-facing
road camera, Guardian empowers drivers to stay on
the road comfortably and safely without the dangers
of fatigue and distraction.
