Leveraged OpenStack providing IaaS to automate and manage the entire lifecycle of a typical BigData cluster.
Implemented a simplified IDE like interface for running jobs and visualizing output.
Hadoop Cluster with HDFS, Apache Spark on Hadoop, Jupyter Notebook Interface, Ganglia based monitoring.
Cipher Modeling, Network Security, NCSU Aug–Dec, 2015
Built a cipher model using the Advanced Encryption Standard (AES) in Cipher Block Chaining (CBC) Mode.
Demonstrated encryption/decryption of the algorithm using SHA-1 message digest and digital signature.
Implemented a database to store public keys and Bash scripting to retrieve and verify encoded/decoded messages.
WEP Cracker, Network Security, NCSU Aug–Dec, 2015
Developed a code in Java to crack the Wired Equivalent Privacy (WEP) scheme of the IEEE 802.11 standard.
Executed a passive statistical attack on logs of WEP packets collected by eavesdropping on a wireless network.
Successfully recovered the 40-bit encryption key used with the stream cipher RC4 by WEP for confidentiality.
Open Source Software Analysis, Software Engineering, NCSU Aug–Dec, 2015
Scrutinized an open-source dynamic analysis tool, Omen+, which detects deadlocks in multithread Java libraries.
Automated the deployment of the virtual machine through scripting based on Vagrant and Docker.
Built a GitHub repository for the automation script which substantially reduced manual work in VM creation.
