Project Description
This is an insurance application developed for USA based client. This project contains 5
LOB’s (Line of Business) which are namely Home insurance, Auto insurance, Excess
Flood, Collections and Excess Liability. This project is meant only for private client groups
of USA. Application is developed based on insurance application tool EXIGEN. Basic
functionality is provided by EXIGEN, other than that we can write code in java, XHTML
etc. to implement other functionality. This tool is based on frameworks: Spring,
Hibernate, technologies: XHTML. On the other hand on rating side the main technology
used is OPENL.
Role and Responsibilities
I worked as an UI Developer .I have worked in Auto Insurance.
All the product LOB’s were developed for 50 US states.
Development includes:
• Implementing different screens.
• Loading look up data for different attributes on different screens.
• Integrating UI with the Rating to calculate final policy premium and display it on
the policy detail screen,
• Sending the data gathered from the UI in the form of request xml file which is sent
to Rating team.
• Validating the Functionality of the Application built to satisfy the Overall business
needs.
