  1. 1. 1971 - 1980
  2. 2. 1972 Environmental & Chemical Engineering, Fluid & Energy Engineering, Geotechnical Engineering; Structural Engineering & Mechanics and Systems Engineering & Management are established as new divisions.
  3. 3. 1973 His Majesty King Bhumibol Adulyadej of Thailand graciously presides over the opening of the new campus in Pathumthani province
  4. 4. 1974 The AIT Conference Center, a gift from the Government of Japan is inaugurated.
  5. 5. 1975 At the 18th graduation ceremony, the Institute confers its first Honorary Degree, the degree of Doctor of Engineering, on His Majesty King Bhumibol Adulyadej of Thailand
  6. 6. 1975 The Regional Experimental Center opens
  7. 7. 1976 The Regional Computer Center is opened
  8. 8. 1977 The Regional Documentation Center is established
  9. 9. 1978 Computer Applications and Energy Technology divisions are established
  10. 10. 1979 The Institute celebrated its Twentieth Anniversary. Student enrolment had increased to 485 students.
  11. 11. 1980 The Continuing Education Center is opened.
