1. Personal Reminiscence
Ahmad Hasan 10B
As we all know all the people love traveling, but sometimes bad
things may happen, and that’s what exactly happened with me. In
the summer holiday, when I was seven years old, me and my family
on a trip to Elat, a trip which was mean to be fun, but it turned into a
bad nightmare.
The story starts from our old house in Jerusalem… One day, my
mom convinced my dad that we needed to go to a trip. After
discussing many choices of places to go, my parents choose Elat. Me,
and my siblings were very excited, because we didn’t have neighbors
in our ages to play with, and we needed time to go out somewhere.
After a very long journey which one of the car's tires burst in, we
reached Elat. It was 11 o'clock, everybody was tired, but before we
could sleep my mom and brother when into a fight, because my
brother told my mom that he wanted a chocolate sandwich, and my
mom made him a turkey sandwich.
Anyway, after a long day of screaming, and fighting. All of the family
was very excited to go swimming in the pool. My mom told us" do
not go to the deep area because it's dangerous". We didn’t listen to
her, because all of our concentration was on swimming, and having
fun plus we where using swimming tires. After twenty minutes of
swimming peacefully in the shallow water, I went to the deep water,
but the life guard immediately told me to go back to the kids place.
While I was talking to her a very big fast punch knocked me out in
the pool.
After 30 minutes of comma I woke up in a private room in the hotel, I
couldn’t open my left eye there. They told me" someone swimming
hit you accidentally while he was swimming, and after that you
drowned." Other people told me that there was blood coming out of
my eye. I was very scared, because I thought I could never see again.
20 minutes later me and my parents went to the hospital in Elat. I
couldn't open my eye really well there so the doctor rolled it with a
bandage. After that, we went back to Jerusalem. We went to the
hospital to make sure that everything is fine with my eye, but bad
news was waiting for us.
2. The doctor said that the tear path in my eye was cut, and they needed
to make an operation in my eye to put an artificial tear path in my
eye. We had no choice but to do that, because it was very dangerous
if I cried, because tears my fall inside my eye instead of outside. After
one day of not eating I was ready for the operation. The operation
took four hours, but it ended successfully. I woke up and found all
my family around me holding presents, and candy with their hands. I
was happy to see them, and I wanted to come back home very much.
After two days in the hospital I returned home with my family. I was
happy, because I missed my home very much, and I was very tired
from the trip, and the operation, but I forgot about all of that,
because after two days it was school, and I need to be ready for it,
and I wanted to share the story of the craziest trip in my life with
them…
