technologies, and communication methods.
The results make for some very interesting reading.
3. Smartphones
• 66% indicated they’d used a Smartphone for over 3 years
• 70% preferred to access the internet on a mobile device
4. Skills
• 95% said they can confidently use a mobile tablet
• 85% can confidently use a Smartboard
5. Information
• 75% have used the internet for 10 years or more
• 65% accessed a VLE at school
• 58% prefer to locate information online, 38% from a person, 4% from
a book
6. Communication
• 93% use SMS on a daily basis
• 74% use Instant Messaging on a daily basis
• 8% use email daily
