senses.
What are your 5
senses?
Sight is an important sense.
• We see with our eyes.
• We read with our
eyes.
• What can you see right
now?
How many eyes do you have?
Close your eyes and name
one thing in the room.
Hearing is a sense we need.
• We use our ears to
hear.
• We need to listen
carefully.
• What are your favorite
sounds?
How many ears do you have?
Close your eyes and what
do you hear?
Smelling is an important sense.
• We use our nose to
smell.
• Some things smell
good and some things
smell bad.
• What do you like to
smell?
Is your nose important?
Close your eyes and smell
what is in the room.
Tasting is an important sense.
• We taste with our
tongues.
• Some things taste
good and some things
taste bad.
• What do you like to
taste?
Do all things taste the same?
Do you like the taste of pickle
juice or the taste of cupcakes?
One more sense is touching.
• We touch with our
fingers.
• Some things are soft
and some things are
rough.
• We can feel with other
parts of our body.
How many fingers do you
have?
Touch your cheeks. Are
they soft?
Our senses are very
important.They help keep us
safe.
Our senses help us learn about
ourselves and the world.
