- This is a product overview of SepsisAnalytics. The first question you have to ask is why we need to deal with Sepsis.
- Sepsis has a very high mortality rate…in fact it is the #1 cause of death in hospitals across the US. It has an accelerated growth rate and it is estimated to have been growing roughly 20% since 2007. The cost of Sepsis has also been moving up at a very rapid rate. The current cost is estimated to be $25.9 billion and is projected to grow at a rate of approximately 28%. In terms of using technology for trying to resolve Sepsis, progress since the advent of EHR, analytics and cloud solutions now presents us with more technological options to deal with sepsis.
- We believe that our current cloud based sepsis analytics tools, to take care of sepsis is quite, novel, unique, and compelling. The AcesoCloud suite of sepsis program management solution is made up of three products. The products are SepsisAnalytics, SepsisClock and Sepsis360. SepsisAnalytics allows us to understand the cost, the delivery of sepsis care, as well as the mortality. It allows us to connect the data for treating sepsis with resource utilization as well as reimbursement. It gives physicians and administrators an understanding of how care is being delivered both from an outcomes and from a financial and reimbursement standpoint.
- Today we are going to look at the SepsisAnalytics product overview. We are going to look at the outcomes dashboard; the financial dashboard; and the providers dashboard. In our SepsisAnalytics product we have split up the data for sepsis so that we can track outcomes, finance as well as the individual providers performance. Understanding the relationship between outcomes, finance, and the provider will give us the ability to understand the drivers of both outcomes and costs.
- In our outcomes dashboards, you will be able to answer questions such as what is the volume, how many patients come in with sepsis, what’s the average length of stay, and what's the average mortality.
- The data is split up either by DRGs or by ICD9. The dashboard allows you to quickly move and pivot around the data set giving you real depth and understanding on your sepsis patient population.
- Our solution allows you to track the patient as they move across the hospital. The dashboards allow you to get from a very high level to a very granular level in an instant. By clicking on any one of the line items you will be able to identify the exact patient with all of the other provider details.
- Our financial dashboards are very robust. It gives you the ability to understand the cost for taking care of sepsis in a very detailed manner.
- We are able to give you the ability to understand the cost as well as the average cost on a per day basis, down to the level of how much room and board and other direct variable costs there are.
- How do you get started? It is extremely simple. No integration into your hospitals financial system is required to get started. We ask that you download our excel spreadsheet template and fill them out. Once you have the data, you can easily upload it and within a very short period of time all of the dashboards will be created giving you insights and the ability to understand sepsis outcomes, resource utilization, cost and reimbursement.
