1. Review for Eastenders episode
There is not one episode of Eastenders which is not dramatic. The scene starts off
with Peggy Mitchell pouring her dramatic emotions on the table as usual, as Peggy
continues with her thoughts on how the public view her; she gets an un-expected visit
from a candidate who was also running for local elections as well as Ms Mitchell. As
he gives her a tough time on her nieces arrest Shirley and Heather continue getting
ready for what it seems to be a St Patricks day party.
As scenes jump from one to another, I roll my eyes as the devious character, Ian Bill
pops up on the screen explaining for one of his ‘doing wrongs’ again! I also notice
clingy Ronnie still not letting go to the fact that Jack and her are over. Towards the
end I lay further back into my seat expecting the well known theme tune to play as the
part of the map of London appears on the screen.
For me Eastenders would be something to watch on a rainy day with a hot cup of tea
but for others it’s a tune in every day sequence. I expect the next episode to contain
another dramatic performance form ‘The Mitchells’ as it seems they never even get a
chance to keep themselves out of trouble. Long, overdramatic episodes like this keep
me from switching to BBC 1 weekly for soap entertainment but compared to other
soaps, Eastenders is number 1 on my list.
