The soil investigation report summarizes the results of a soil investigation at Tuas South Street. Three boreholes were drilled to explore the subsurface conditions and conduct standard penetration tests. Disturbed soil samples were also collected and laboratory tests were performed. The investigation was carried out according to the British Standard Code of Practice for soil investigation and provides information on the subsurface conditions and natural bearing resistance of the soil.

3. 1 INTRODUCTION
This report presents the results of the soil investigation works at Tuas South
Street.
The site investigation was carried out in accordance with the British Standard
Code of Practice for soil investigation (BS 5930:1981).
2 SCOPE OF WORK
The purposes of this site investigation are:
a. To explore the subsurface condition of the proposed site by drilling borehole
and to provide general data relating to the project.
b. To carry out standard Penetration test (SPT) with 63.5Kg hammer having free
fall of 760mm to determine the natural bearing resistance of the subsoil.
c. To obtain disturbed soil samples for visual inspection.
