Clearly state all assumptions made. [5marks] c. Calculate the steady-state glucose concentration given that the input rate of medium is 1.25 Lh and the chemostat has a working volume of 5L. It is assumed that cell growth can be described by the Monod equation and the organism has a substrate affinity constant of 5mg/. and a maximum specific growth rate of 1.69h 17 marks d. Explain what is meant by critical dilution rate with the help of a diagram 110 marks|.
