2. This is an experimental research. It follows a procedure in
which students have to repeat their speeches. Finally, the
study concludes that repetition helped to improve fluency.
It has a formal L2 classroom design. The authors borrowed
students from a classroom that wasn’t theirs.
The purpose of the research is to conclude whether repetition
helps the students to improve their fluency or not.
The main research question inquires which is the role of
repetition in matter of fluency in students.
The subjects of the study were 24 students that recorded
three speeches in three sessions. Some students talked about
the same subject and others about three different subjects.
3. The authors’ choice to discover whether the
repetition influences the fluency in students
of a second language was the best option
because they can now support their
hypothesis. I believe they were right because
the research did not need any theory to be
maintained but an experiment in a real
classroom to know whether repetition helps
to develop fluency or not.
