• Catching up on notes .. “Not A Fun Process”
• In a lot of subjects, notes are pointless, & it often seems like you’re
reading an essay
• In mathematical subjects.. It’s very time consuming looking at
lecture slides or notes on how to solve an equation...
Wouldn’t It Be Easier If We Could Magically Rewind Time & Actually
Make It In For That Early 10am Lecture..
“We Can Only Wish” ... But I Have A Close Enough Proposal...

Video lectures, replace or compliment 10-12 hours of lecture slides
with 1 video tape of lecture.
1. Students will benefit greatly from it
2. Gives a primary perspective of lecture
3. Video can be used over and over again, just as you use lecture
slides, but with a different and more compacting effect 6.1

9. There are many advantages that comes with video tutorials
To Name A Few

10. Quick Revision
This is one of the great benefit of online video
lectures/tutorials … for some students studying can be
difficult & can be a bit of a... >>
Many would jump at the chance of watching a video in
order to learn. Also the fact that these videos can be
easily stored and accessed means they can be reused
over and over again, just in case you forget that little
topic the day before the exam.

11. Future Of Video Tutorials
How important it is now and for the future?
IT WILL BENEFIT STUDENTS A LOT AND IS NO EXTRA HASSLE
AT ALL FOR LECTURERES IF UNIVERSITIES CAN ADOPT THIS
APPROACH
IT SHOULD BE STRONGLY CONSIDERED BY 3RD LEVEL
EDUCATION AUTHORITIES AND MAYBE EVEN 2ND LEVEL

16. Fear of students becoming lazy and the idea of the lecture videos been
available online might cause a few to use it as a replacement for lectures!
16
17. There several disadvantages on the availability of online videos of the
lecture, namely the lack of face to face interaction, and the fact that
students cannot easily contact their instructors unless a communications
link is created.
also .. fear of students becoming lazy and the idea of the lecture videos
been available online might cause a few to use it as a replacement for
lectures!
“At least lecturers can be assured they are still getting their idea across
because by watching the videos, ultimately students will learn the things
being thought”
(Ebenezer Olajide)
