This document compares the populations of several European countries in 2007. Germany had the largest population of over 80 million people, while Estonia had the smallest of just over 1 million. Several countries including Belgium, Bulgaria, the Czech Republic, Denmark, Estonia and Ireland had populations of 10 million or less. The largest countries after Germany were Spain, France and Italy, with populations between 44-63 million people. Together the four largest countries accounted for over 80% of the total population shown in the document.
