Ziad Sayadi has over 30 years of experience as a research assistant in biopesticides and entomology. He has assisted with research projects on biological control of the Sunn Pest using entomopathogenic fungi and nematodes. This has included mass production of fungi, laboratory and field testing, and supervising field staff. He has also conducted research on resistance in wheat, chickpeas, faba beans and lentils to various insect pests. Sayadi has taught courses on integrated pest management and participated in specialized training programs on biological control using fungi. He has publications in peer-reviewed journals and has attended international conferences on Sunn Pest management.

project for the development of biological control for Sunn Pest using
entomopathogenic fungi and nematodes. Work includes helping with mass
production of fungi for field testing, setting up and evaluating laboratory
bioassays, isolating fungi from test insects, setting up field test sites and
taking samples to assess fungal efficacy, evaluating efficacy bioassays for
nematodes; assisting with regional survey of nematodes, including
