2. CNC MILLING MACHINE
CNC Milling Machines are incredibly useful pieces of machinery to both
commercial and industrial production. The aerospace industry, the medical
industry and the electronics industry are all able to benefit from the products of
CNC Milling
3. How do CNC milling machine work?
A CNC Milling Machine uses a rotating cylindrical cutter to move along
multiple axes, and create slots, holes and details in material to turn it into a
vehicle or mechanical part. Most machines operate on three to five axes
Five axes
Three axes
5. Types of Tools used in CNC milling machine
Single Flute End Mill.
Double Flute End Mill.
Double Flute End Mill With Tool Cooling.
Three, Four and Six Flute End Mills.
Micro-Toothed End Mill.
T-Slotting/Dovetail Mills.
Drill.
Thread Mills.
7. BASIC- G -CODES
Simply put, G-code is a software programming
language used to control a CNC machine
1. G12- Circular pocket milling clockwise
2. G13- Circular pocket milling counter clockwise
3. G20- Inch units
4. G21- Metric units
5. G83- Drilling cycle
6. G84- Tapping cycle
7. G90- Absolute programming
8. G91- Incremental programming
9. G54- Work offset
8. BASIC- M -CODES
M-code is the machine control language for CNC machining. It is used in
combination with G-code to switch various machine functions off and on
1. M03- Spindle rotate clockwise
2. M04- Spindle rotate anti-clockwise
3. M05- Spindle stop
4. M06- Tool change
5. M08- Coolant on
6. M09- Coolant off
7. M30- Program end
8. M99- End of sub program
