2. What is Sports Day?
Sports Day is the day when
everyone in school will participate
in the sports events
It is held once a year and we are
divided into groups or houses
There are many events and races
that we can participate in
Sportsmanship, team work and
endurance are just a few values
that are promoted in Sports Day

Track events – 100m , 200m
and 400m races
Fun events – sack race,
skipping, ball-throwing
4. What is the preparation?
P3 to P6 pupils are divided into 6
houses
They have to practise once a week
The house master has to ensure that
everyone in the house has a role to
play
They have banners and mascots for
all the events
5. What do the participants get?
The house with the highest
points will get the house trophy
Winners of events will get
medals
They even have trophies for the
best cheer

Sequence of events:
1. Greenpark Primary school just
organised a Sports Day at the Bukit
Batok Stadium last Friday.
2. The participants were pupils from
P3 to P6.
3. There were many track events and
even fun games organised.
4. The participants were divided into
6 houses.

practising for their events since
February.
6. The house master and the
team leaders lifted colourful
banners, they even had
mascots to cheer their own
houses.
