Experience
Business Strategy Game Participant Spring of 2014- Group Leader/ Financial Analyst: Lead a four man team for ten weeks to
simulate owning a footwear company. The objective of the simulation was to reproduce a scenario that a publically traded
company would have to face in the competitive workforce. Financing decisions were made weekly in order to maintain the
adequate amount of shares outstanding to stimulate the company’s success. The simulation enhanced my managerial skills as
well as enlightened me about the crucial decisions managers need to make in order to compete with their competitors.
IB Practicum Participant Fall of 2014: Worked with a four man team to create a business strategy for our client. The
objective of this program is to give the participants an understanding about the challenges a business person has to endure
while working with a client. Our team had to create an international business plan for this client to expand his business to
foreign markets. The experience enhanced my consulting and strategic planning as well as furthering my experience with a
team.
Stock Market Game Participant: Participated in stock market game simulation that mirrored the actions of the actual stock
market. Each participant was given one hundred thousand dollars to create a portfolio that would deem profitable after three
months. At the end of the simulation I was in the money. My success was attributed to a mix of passive and active trading as
well as a well-diversified portfolio with international and domestic stocks. The simulation greatly enhanced my
understanding about the stock market and how to invest.
