St. Bernard Ball & Auction to be held on October 8
WABASH,Ind.– St. Bernard Catholic School’s historic fundraiser is celebrating its 25th
anniversary on October 8. The event will be held in Legacy Hall at Wabash’s Honeywell Center at 5:45
p.m. A dinner buffet, DJ,dancing, and a silent and live auction will be provided. Live auction items
include projects the St. Bernard students personalize. A raffle drawing will also take place. Raffle tickets
cost $20 each.
“One of my favorite parts of the auction are the bonds that parents make as they get to know other
parents and the staff outside of school,” said school principal Theresa Carroll. “This is a chance for our
students to share their talents and creativity while helping their school.”
Since 1922, St. Bernard has nurtured elementary students into their potential academically,
socially, and spiritually, by faith and by learning. Today, the school continually scores in the top 10% of
the state for ISTEP testing. Eight of the last nine years,they have received an "A" rating by the Indiana
State Department of Education.
This year’s Ball & Auction committee has already received numerous donations, including from
Twisted Scissors, Friermood Tire, and Cannonball Lanes. All proceeds will be put towards technology,
scholarships, instructional materials, and the school’s foreign language program.
