2. Square
Here is my square:
Here are my steps:
REPEAT 4 [FD 50 RT 90].
I started the shape by thinking on how small or big I should make it. Then I
decided to make it medium size. Since I knew that 90 degrees is a quarter of a
turn, I then knew that a square had 4 quarter turns in it. Then I made the sides
all equal because if they weren’t, then it wouldn’t look like a square. (but a
quadrilateral.)
3. Rectangle
Here is my rectangle:
And here are the steps:
FD 100 RT 90 FD 50 RT 90 FD 100 RT 90 FD 50.
To make my rectangle, I thought of the sides first. I knew that there were two
long sides and two short sides on it. Then I thought that the shorter side could
be half of the long side. That was when I thought about the angles and
already knew what angle I needed to use (90 degrees). And then I found my
finished product.
4. 2 Types of triangles
Here is my first type of triangle that I made: It is an isosceles triangle.
These are the steps:
RT 40 FD 100 RT 150 FD 100 RT 102 FD 52.
I started the isosceles triangle by noticing that two sides were the same. Then I tried to do ‘RT 100’
for the 3rd RT. It didn’t go the right way, but it was really close to the perfect position. I then tried RT
102 and it went to the perfect position that I wanted to be in. That was how I made my 1st triangle.
Here is my second type of triangle that I made: It is a right-angle triangle.
These are the steps:
RT 30 FD 100 RT 130 FD 150 RT 140 FD 117.
I started the right-angle triangle by thinking that the right-angle triangle has a right angle in it. I then
estimated in how the angles would go like. Then it ended up like that. It doesn’t look perfect at one
of the edges but I tried my best to make it right. That was how my 2nd triangle turned out.
5. Pentagon
Here is my pentagon:
Here are the steps:
FD 80 RT 40 FD 80 RT 100 FD 80 RT 40 FD 80 RT 90 FD 103.
I started the pentagon by wondering on how I should make it. I knew that the
pentagon had 4 sides. Then I thought of the angles first. I had to know how to
make this more easier. After that, I then thought of the pentagon as a small
house. That made the pentagon task more easier. The pentagon then was
figured out by all of the house idea. That was how I made a pentagon.
6. Parallelogram
Here is my parallelogram:
Here are the steps:
RT 15 FD 100 RT 75 FD 100 RT 105 FD 100 RT 75 FD 100 RT 75 FD 100.
I decided that the pentagon should start with an angle first. Then I would be
able to do the rest. I tested out RT 25, but it was too much for me to make it. RT
15 was ok. Then I tried RT 10, but it was too small. So RT 15 was the correct one
to use then. I then knew that the parallelogram would have no 90 degrees in
it. I also made sure that the sides opposite each other were parallel. That was
how I made the parallelogram.
7. Random shape
Here is my random shape:
Here are the steps:
FD 99 RT 80 FD 100 RT 90 FD 100 RT 150 FD 50 LT 60 FD 10 LT 90 FD 60 RT 104 FD 85
This shape was a shape I just randomly made, but I had to make it accurate at
the end of it. The last side was the hardest to keep accurate.
I right turn was the one which made it hard to make it accurate. But I made it
at the end. The right turn was really hard for me to get accurate. That was how
I made the random shape.
8. A pattern
Here is my pattern:
Here are the steps:
REPEAT 739 [FD 69 RT 69 BK 639 LT 649].
For this pattern, I typed in REPEAT, then I typed in a random number. Then I
typed in FD, and I then typed in another random number and so on (as you
can see). That was how I got that pattern.
