To Whom It May Concern:
This letter is in support of Yesica Lopez. Yesica has been serving as an Administrative
Intern from January 2016 to the present for the Thomas A. Edison Media Arts Consortium.
The Consortium administrates the Black Maria Film Festival, the NJ Young Filmmakers’
Festival, and the Global Insights Film Collection, based at NJ City University. Yesica is
without a doubt one of the top interns I have ever worked with. I am impressed by her
dedication to her studies, her intelligence, her natural ability to work as part of a team, her
enthusiasm, and her organizational skills.
Yesica is a mature and capable young woman with great potential. It was clear when she
started working with us that she was willing to do whatever was needed to advance the
Consortium and our various projects. She brought much to the table – in particular her
experience working with the public for a large company. She has strong administrative
skills, and an incredible amount of patience.
One of our main goals this spring included updating our contact lists of Black Maria
Filmmakers, audience members, donors, and others. Yesica was not deterred by what
would be expected of her. She helped to design flyers, assisted with receptions, organized
important materials, mailed programs to host sites, and accomplished tasks too numerous
to list.
An important aspect of Yesica’s contributions is her ability to identify tasks that need to be
accomplished without being asked. Yesica’s sensitivity to our needs and her willingness to
pitch in to do whatever is needed no matter how dull, is a testament to her character. Her
people skills, humility, selflessness and ethics are all strong attributes that I know will
continue to serve her well, and I recommend her with great enthusiasm.
Sincerely,
Jane Steuerwald
