Facility: Aluminum rolling plant with casting facility
• Spearheading efforts as an Instrumentation/Electrical Engineer and looking after maintenance of SMS - 4 Hi Cold
Rolling Mill & finishing lines. Working with ABB & Siemens PLC, DCS, AC & DC drives for highly reliable and
minimal maintenance operation.
• Planning and checking effectiveness of maintenance of electrical and electronic equipment to ensure effective
services, meeting target availability, reliability, downtime within the budgeted cost. Ensure the product quality of
all the machine centers of the plant.
• Planning and implementing the preventive maintenance and additional modifications to increasing the utilization
of plant key equipments.
• Identifying root cause of failures and implementing quick breakdown solutions to put the machines back in
operation within minimum turnaround time.
• Monitoring and analyzing the equipments to avoid unexpected breakdown and efficiently handing breakdown &
modification by applying various efforts.
• Planning the execution of maintenance activity, observing standard procedures for maintenance and considerably
reducing down time.

• Upgrading electric of key equipment by state of the art technology to move away with the issue of spare parts
obsolesces.
• Driving efforts for Feasibility studies to increase the productivity of the plant within the space constraint. As Belur
plant is dependent on the State Electricity Board with high tariff rates, the challenge is to minimize the power
consumption without hampering productivity.

2. • Handling operation & maintenance of AFC (auto flatness control ) ,AGC ( auto gauge control ) ,Auto strip
centering system and thickness measurement X-ray gauge at 4 Hi Cold rolling mill .
• Actively involved in troubleshooting of Electrical Machinery, field devices & process parameters measuring
Instruments failure rectification.
• developing, managing and monitoring the performance of multi-skilled work force thereby Minimizing forced
electrical breakdowns
• Implementing predictive maintenance and ensuring availability of spare parts of key equipments at the time
requirement and thus to maintain optimized spare inventory level.
• Carrying out Spares Management and Keep R&M Cost as per P&B for Responsible Machine Centers, Upgradation
and Installation of Control Systems for better performance of machinery and also for energy savings.
• Ensuring the management systems ISO 9001, 14000, ISMS ISO 27001 & OHSAS-18000 are adhered to zero
deviation and Monitoring closure and take corrective action for all the NCR's.
• Monitoring and eliminating the unsafe acts and conditions for zero accidents and ensuring the standards of
WCM.
• Looking maintenance of Battery operated fork lift trucks and involved in improving its reliability by adhering to
its preventive maintenance.
• Looking maintenance of EPABX, 300 lines telephone exchange, recently upgraded the same with state of art
unified communication solution.
