SUMMARY OF COMPETENCIES, GOALS AND OBJECTIVES
I am a motivated, adaptable and responsible graduate seeking an entry-level position in corporate
world as well as teaching industry which will utilize the organizational and communication skills
developed during university.
My reliability, communication skills, responsibility and friendly nature are assets I would bring to the
work. I have experience in project management and strong organizational and administrative skills
with the ability to work independently and use my own initiative. I also have the ability to prioritize
whilst under pressure meeting tight deadlines.
2. WORK EXPERIENCE
August 2014 to January 2015 Sales Advisor at Nellick Enterprises, Nairobi, Kenya
Weekend Sales Assistant, where my responsibilities included customer service, stock control and
stoke taking, cash handling and opening stock accounts. This work involved me in advising and
assisting customers, coping with problems and unexpected situations and taking responsibility for
cashing the tills at the end of the day.
January 2015 to October 2016 Intern Peace Units Programme (IMCS, Kenya)
Interacted with managers and liaised with team members. Typical duties included composition of
letters, organizing presentations and liaising with clients. I learnt how to create, manage and update
computer databases and files more efficiently. I also increased my problem solving skills and time
management when under pressure.
January 2016 to October 2016 Teacher Starehe Boys’ Centre and School, Nairobi Kenya
Interacted with various professionals in different sectors. Typical duties included teaching, planning
for interschool festivals, and regional competitions, guidance and counseling, mentoring students and
developing and organizing relevant teaching and learning materials.
May 2015 to December 2016 Volunteer Financial Reporting Committee at University of Nairobi,
Kikuyu Campus Christian Union
I worked under busy schedules and ensured all the accounts of the union are accurately recorded. Key
duties included accurate recording of financial statements, analysis and presentation of financial
statements and organization of union’s financial operations. During this process interacted with
various professionals including internal and external auditors.
All of my work experiences have involved working within a team-based culture. This involved
planning, organization, co-ordination and commitment e.g., in sales this ensured daily sales targets
were met, a fair distribution of tasks and effective communication amongst all staff members.
LEADERSHIP SKILLS
Successfully led the Chama Cha Kiswahili Kikuyu (CHAKIKU) of the University of Nairobi
as the Secretary General for two Academic years.
Served effectively as the Vice Chair of Western Outreach Ministry of the University of
Nairobi for two financial periods

3. ACHIEVEMENTS
Able to reach out to young people through High school Ministry, seminars, career and
motivational talks.
I was able to attend severalsocial responsibility and volunteering events such as Mathare
clean up, Peace walk in Kibera and an Intervarsity Forum as well as leadership forum and
trainings.
I was a proactive member of the Kikuyu Campus Christian Union of which I participate fully
in most activities, serving in various committees and ministries.
Achieved high pass rate in KASNEB examinations.
