The program was designed to assist first year students enrolled in the School with the transition from high school to university. Mentors complemented existing tutors and lecturers in INFO1103 – INTRODUCTION TO PROGRAMMING by assisting students with problems in technical, personal and administrative areas. Mentors volunteered at least one hour per week to participate in the program, in addition to managing their own university studies. During the program, Tung Vi demonstrated and developed skills in communication, presentation and interpersonal relations. Successful participation in the program also required some organisational skills and commitment. The student demonstrated very high standards of knowledgeability, approachability and overall proficiency and usually devoted extra time and energy into providing excellent standards of support for students. The School congratulates Tung Vi for demonstrating such excellent standards and would like to offer best wishes for any future endeavours. Yours sincerely A/P Bing Bing Zhou Undergraduate Director School of Information Technologies
