Notes from attending different sessions
Copied from Yiyi Xu (a Chinese teacher in the CI facebook group)'s facebook about how she does the My Chinese Story Book Project; put it here so I can find it in the future for inspiration
"My Chinese Story Book
Yiyi Xu These were the stories the students wrote along the year. They didn't write all of them at the end of the school year. Probably they wrote 10-12 stories last year (different prompts: giving an ending for a class story, use the structures/phrases they acquired to create something new, picture narration...etc). They posted all these stories/assignments on Google Classroom. All they need to do is to go back to their posts and pick 8 best stories. They will proofread and copy paste the stories to Google doc book template, then print them out. I staple it for them at the end. My job in this project is to make sure they have a book that doesn't have typos or wrong grammar. They read each other's story in class. I will give award this week- the best book cover, the most creative story, the most unexpected ending story....etc."
