Discover a new seven-event training session coming to life in the framework of the WINGATE project. The goal is to develop and train women entrepreneurs and women business angels across all Europe. During the seven sessions you can learn about multiple topics starting from the innovation ecosystem through investments to mentoring. It is no accident that mentoring has been included among our topics, since start-ups can learn and grow through a mentor familiar with the market in addition to investors. Imre Hild, MD of Global Traction and Training Lead of Women/Business/Angels Association will be leading the monthly training sessions in partnership with Lumus Investments and HubHub Community Office, starting from 1st March and continuing throughout the year. The training is free of charge. Why become a mentor? What is your role in the value creation of a start-up? Where and how to find other mentors to join forces with? The training session will deep-dive into several aspects of being a mentor, such as ◼️ Mentoring vs coaching - what is the difference, and when to capitalise on them? ◼️ Mentee and mentor relationship - what is crucial to create a working mentoring relationship? ◼️ The lifecycle of the mentor and mentee relationship - how does it start? How to evaluate it and end it? ◼️ How to prepare for the first meeting? - all points that should be discussed and ready before and for the first meeting. ◼️ Interview on mentor + mentee fundraising - how to fundraise both from the perspective of the founder and also from the perspective of an angel. A good mentor is like a parent, a therapist, and a special guide in the life of a startup. Mentors can help startups to reach their full potential, so it is essential to know as much as possible about the topic of how to become a good mentor.
