3. 1. Research shows that sending of traditional greeting cards still more
popular than e-cards (see source 1).
2. 2015 Australian population = 23.6Million
3. 28% (i.e. 6.6M) were born overseas (see source 2), so >28% have family
members/friends overseas.
4. If 6M people send a ‘real birthday card’ only once per year (thanks to
iStamp’s convenience), it’s 6M*$2 postage per card=$12M revenue to
AusPost (in addition to savings from zero printing cost and zero profit-
sharing with retailers),
5. If 2 cards per year are sent, it’s at least $24M revenue.
6. Without considering the above business case, the savings alone
(generated from the zero printing & logistics cost and zero profit-sharing
with retailers) is still over tens of millions of dollars! (similar benefits
occur when car registration stickers no longer needed )

7. Printed Stamp issues iStamp’s improvement
Bound by business hours & PO locations Available anytime anywhere 24/7 (365)
Stamp printing cost Zero printing cost
Logistic cost Zero logistic cost
Profit-sharing with retailers Higher profit margin for AusPost
Paper-based
[Invention of pre-Internet era]
Paperless, green and clean
[Invention for modern Internet era]
No traceability of the senders Enhanced traceability, data quality &
users analytics (metadata are kept)
Insufficient postage Accurate postage
8. 1. Leveraging existing Click’n Send platform (limited interruption
to current business process and technologies)
2. Only an iStamp database system needs to be developed and
linked to the Click’n Send platform
3. The paperless iStamp method (i.e. hand-writing method) can
be extended to parcels business too
4. Probable incomes generated from IP (intellectual property)
adoption by post authorities of other countries
5. Improve the cash flow of AusPost (the pre-paid charges go
directly to AusPost, not retailers)
9. - This proposal is along
similar lines to Click’n Send
but for mail and without
the label printing (can be
extended to parcels too).
- Only Internet is needed to
access iStamp mobile App,
printer and PC are not
needed.
