IMPLEMENTATION
SCOPE
The purpose of thisprojectisto establishamutuallyacceptableimplementationof the KentuckyHuman
ResourcesInformationSystem(KHRIS) toitsfullestextentanduse. Currently KHRISisonlyusedtoprocess
payroll andbenefitsforthe KentuckyCourtsof Justice (KCOJ),butisthe requesttoalsoprocesspersonnel
actions through the system as well.
Basic Assumptions
ExpandOrganizational Managementfunctionalitiestoreflectthe KCOJOrganizationalStructure.
Full use of the existing Position and Personnel action forms.
Interfacing time from the KCOJ Timekeeping System and producing an outbound file of leave
balancesfollowingeachpayroll processingforthe KCOJ’sprocessingtoupdate theiragencytime
reporting solution.
Conversionof datafrom the KCOJ’sexistingsystem(s) toprovide the necessarydata elementsto
KHRIS to establish the base informational data in KHRIS to begin supporting the KCOJ going
forward.
TECHNICAL REQUIREMENTS & ASSUMPTIONS
The KCOJ’s Technology Services (TS) Department is required to developand provide to the Personnel
Cabinetany informational datadeemednecessaryforthe KCOJto fullyleverage KHRISHumanResource
related functionality on a go forward basis. This conversion processhas requiredtesting and validation
by both the KCOJ and the Personnel Cabinet.
TIME FRAMES, COSTS AND RESOURCES
The consulting and implementation fee for the project is $475,000, which is a fixed cost, inclusive of all
expenses. Services provided by the Personnel Cabinet will be invoiced in separate fiscal years to avoid
the impact financially on the KCOJ. All resources will come from the Project Manager in the Personnel
Cabinet, and time frames will be agreed upon moving forward.
IMPACTS & RISKS
Withthe anticipationof impacts,we’venotbeenfacedwithanyatthispoint. Some risksmovingforward
are positionlistingsnotmatchingtocurrentKHRIScodes,aswell aspositionsreceivingnew numbersand
not familiar to current viewers.
