1. LPC LIVING SIGNS 18,000 SQ FT DEAL FOR SALFORD’S GREENE ST HEALTH CENTRE
July 2012
Regeneration developer LPC Living has secured a lease on a new 18,000 NHS Health Centre at
its Radclyffe Park development in Salford. The deal is significant not only for its size but also for
the centre having the greenest credentials of any public health building in the city.
The new health centre, to be called Ordsall Health, occupies a two-storey unit fronting Trafford
Road and will provide a range of healthcare services for the rapidly rising population of Ordsall &
Salford Quays. Services to be provided will include general practice, speech and language
services, baby clinics, health visiting services, psychiatry, district nursing, community dentistry,
dentistry teaching, podiatry and pharmacy services
The centre is the latest addition to the £50m mixed-use Radclyffe Park development where a
50,000 sq ft Morrisons supermarket, 156-bed Travelodge hotel, 79 new homes and a new high
street comprising 11 retail units have recently been completed.

2. The announcement also fulfils one of the main aims of the Ordsall Development Framework, a £150m
partnership between LPC Living, owned by the Pervaiz Naviede Family Trust, and Salford City Council,
which seeks to improve access to healthcare in addition to creating affordable homes and investment
in education and community services.
Simon Ashdown, development director at LPC Living, said: “The population of Ordsall and the Quays
has been growing steadily for a number of years thanks to our investment as well as other projects
such as the nearby MediaCityUK development. With the new health centre opening alongside the retail
and leisure facilities, Radclyffe Park is well placed to serve a growing community for many years to
come.”
A team from the Manchester office of Gateley advised LPC Living on the deal and was led by Jon
Mason, of the real estate division.
Mason commented: “We’re delighted to have advised LPC Living on this deal and look forward to
seeing the completion of the new NHS health centre. It is in an excellent location for the local
community and will provide a vital service to those living in the area.”
