Descriptive Essay About Stuffed Animal
My artifact is brown and black with almost 2 decades' worth of memories; this object is my stuffed Rottweiler named Max. This artifact, although
motionless with four legs, has walked to the moon and back with me as a child full of imagination. This artifact stores the most precious memories
and has been with me at every step in my life. Max is very meaningful to me because we have shared many memories, from birth until now. My
stuffed animal has been with me through every ups and downs in life, every change that has ever occurred to me, has been a part my past and present;
and represents my future. In every stage of my childhood, Max was there for me; from the moments after my birth until now. My father gave me my
first stuffed animal as a gift when I was a very small infant. Since my father grew up owning Rottweilers, it was very fitting of him to buy me a
stuffed Rottweiler as my first gift. I have a very vague memory of naming Max; I remember my mom and dad having a mini discussion on what he
should be named. My mother wanted a female name, while my father wanted a male name. Coincidentally, our neighbor's dog was named Max and
since I liked that name because it was easy to pronounce, my stuffed animal was officially named Max, or "Maa", as what I used to call him. A few
years later, my dad bought another stuffed animal, also a Rottweiler, and we decided to give it a name. I clearly remember my dad saying "We need to
give it a manly name" jokingly. But since I was

Write a description of an object as you are looking at it. Then compare the written description with information you can obtain by looking at the
object or at a picture of the object. Is it true that "a picture is worth a thousand words" How does your comparison of written and visual
representations relate to the discussion of propositional versus depictive representations in this chapter? For this experiment, I will choose my phone
it is rectangular with a glass touch screen placed in a white protective cover. There are breaks in the white cover on three sides for the speaker, power

Whereas an actual photo of my phone is considered a depictive representation. These two aspects are used when processing imagery often
complimenting each other. While propositional representations like words or a symbol give, the individual and idea of the object visual cues
can help further explain what a person is seeing. For example Dr. Kosslyn's experiment with the propositional representation of the boat. The boat
is depicted with words next to lines and dots that give the viewer a spatial perception of where everything is located on the boat and how far the
each piece is from another. While it is this image can be considered a drawing, it not an actual depiction of what a boat looks like, the image is
similar to blue prints. While this picture was very informative on how far the propeller is from the anchor I could not help having issues visualizing
what the boat looks like. I myself and not an avid boater, so visualizing the boat that is being depicted spatially is very hard for me. In the end to get
a good understanding of the boat that Kosslyn is trying to depict I would need a photo. In the end when pitting these to processes against each other I
would choose a depictive representation, but when used together propositional and depictive views give accurate view of visual

The shape of the vase is squat and a rounded hollow shape with stout handles that curl upwards to help with handling. It looks to be high–sided and
broad shouldered for a functional purpose. It has a low foot and low red waved patterned neck described as 'maeanders'3 and lip. After looking on the

PROCESS DESCRIPTION OF OBJECT–ORIENTED PROGRAMMING
Introduction
Object–Oriented Programming is a programming paradigm emphasized on "objects" which consists of data attributes and methods (Lewis; Loftus).
Data attributes are comparable to nouns while methods are comparable to verbs in English. For instance, a person represented by object, has name,
age, and gender as its data attributes. The person will be able to think, speak, and write with the representation of methods in the object.
The main purpose of learning Object–Oriented Programming is to create programs that are maintainable and scalable. Maintainability is essential for
programmers to understand the codes in a program. Therefore, the codes have to be concise and clear. Moreover, programs need to be easy to
upgrade to accommodate changes in real world. Hence, we need to have the capability to build a program on another program.
Object–Oriented Programming enables programmers to program by modeling the real world instead of defining the logic of how the world works. It
focuses more on what makes up an object rather than what the object does. Programmers can focus on creating small components or objects, and group
them together based on their relationships to build a larger object, which can be built upon again in future. The process of developing the paradigm
consists the following steps: Encapsulation, Inheritance, Data Abstraction, and Polymorphism.
Discussion
Encapsulation
Encapsulation is an

Describe your personality using a color, animal, or an object of your choice.
If I had to describe myself as an animal, I would choose a dog. Surprisingly, I didn't just choose this because I like dogs. Don't get me wrong dogs are
fantastic; but I chose a dog because of its characteristics. Everyone knows about that little dog that barks louder than any dog on the block. That dog
is me; except lucky for you I don't bark, nor am I covered in hair with a tail. What I mean to say is, from a distance I might seem intimidating, but
once you come closer and get to know me you'll realize I 'm actually a teddy bear. (metaphorically of course) I love to greet people, whether it be
friends or family, with open arms and make them feel welcome and at home. Also, I'm always there for anybody around me who mayneed some extra
support. This could mean anything from running an errand for my mom or being a shoulder to cry on for a friend. One possible negative personality
trait I share with dogs is occasionally being overprotective. I say this is negative very cautiously, because it is not always bad. I never want to see
anybody get hurt. This leads to me always having my friends' and family's back, even when they may not want me to be there. In that way, I am
similar to a dog.
2. Discuss 3 passionate concerns you have regarding your future.
In regards to my future, a passionate concern I have is where I decide to go to college. I am not concerned so much as to where I go, but what I'll

Benefits Of Using Object Oriented Database
Network allows the same owner file to be linked to multiple records. network models look like a tree that isn 't the right way up where the owner is
the bottom of the tree and the member information being linked to the owner is the branches. This model is flexible due to the multiple links.
Advantages
It can be easily accessed in any table record in the database as it has many to many relationships.
It is flexible so it is easier to navigate and search for information.
ImageDisadvantages
If you are a first time user it can be difficult to use.
Difficulties can occur when adding information because this can change the whole database.
Object oriented database
Object databases store objects instead of data like integers or strings. Objects are made up of attributes and methods which is how the object behaves
and the functions of the object.
Advantages
ImageEasy to navigate
Less code is needed
Quick to search you go straight to the object not search through the different tables
Based on real world
Disadvantages
There are more tools for the user to use in relational databases lower efficiency when the data and relationships are simple
Flat file
Data in a flat file are stored in one big table. It can be either a binary file or a plain text file and usually there is one record stored per line. Not for
programs that are used often or that include lots of entries.
Advantages
It is good for text files with not a lot of data

Personal Object
An object I believe portrays how I see myself would be my drama team t–shirt. When this assignment was announced it was actually the first thing I
thought of. The shirt brings a lot of memories back for me. In my opinion, I think it portrays my personality, the quiet and crazy side, as well as how
passionate I am. It is a reminder that I can do anything I set my mind to. It's a reminder of my faith even in the dark moments and when I feel like I'm
failing. It portrays my desire to be a part of something big, and my desire to learn. I think it portrays my quiet personality because on my team, we did
what were called human videos. Human videos are basically telling stories to a song. The actors do not talk, they mouth the lyrics and use actions
and facials to tell a story. Around people I don't know, I don't say too much. I would hope that my life tells others a story of hope. I would hope that
my actions would point others to someone who could give them that. I'm not doing so well in it myself, but I know I can do better. I also believe this
shirt portrays my crazy side through the font on the front. It's something not common, it stands out. My team came up with the name. I honestly don't
remember who thought of Jive 2 Thrive and I'm kind of surprised the guys in the group didn't say anything. Anyway, the only time I wore the shirt
was when I was around my team and I see that I only step out of my comfort zone is when I'm around my friends.

Descriptive Essay On A Bag
For most college students, carrying some form of bag is a necessity. Depending on the person, they might carry a backpack, purse, messenger bag,
tote, or something else. Bags are sometimes a way to express yourself, and sometimes appearance doesn't matter rather the functionality of it. Many
people chose their bag of choice based on these ideas.
For myself, my choice of bag was due to convenience and I'll explain. The backpack I use currently, I have had since my sophomore year of high school
. It is a grey JanSport backpack, that has one large pocket and one small pocket. It has a giant hole in the side from years of use and to put it nicely
I am to frugal to buy a new one. Until, the straps breakoff I will probably continue to use it. In high school I chose this backpack based on
appearance (Grey, which is my favorite color) and the popularity of the brand. Today, I don't care much about the appearance, as many could gather
from the giant hole. I use it because I have it and its still functional.
Laptop: My laptop is a necessity for me and that is why I always carry it in my backpack. I'm often on campus most of the day and I use the laptop to
work on assignments, quizzes, watch Netflix between classes, or browse the internet.
Binder: My binder is a Đ’Đ… inch white organizational tool. I use it to hold hard copies of assignments to prevent damage and blank college ruled paper in
case I need a piece for an in–class assignment. In the clear flap in the front, I typically keep

Object Oriented Database
Introduction "Choosing the right OODB architecture can mean orders of magnitude difference in performance and scalability characteristics rather
than a few percentage points as found in relational implementations." To achieve maximum performance and scalability the most important thing is
choosing the right application architecture. OODBs give applications much more direct access to the persistent data, so application architecture has
much more impact on performance than is the case with an RDB. Or to put it another way, when using an OODB the application architect has much
more power to optimize performance than when using an RDB. Consequently the application architecture has more effect on performance and
scalability than the choice...show more content...
In other words, the schema of an object is not in first–normal–form. Examples of attributes that can comprise a complex object include lists, bags, and
embedded objects. Object identity Every instance in the database has a unique identifier (OID), which is a property of an object that distinguishes it
from all other objects and remains for the lifetime of the object. In object–oriented systems, an object has an existence (identity) independent of its
value. Encapsulation Object–oriented models enforce encapsulation and information hiding. This means, the state of objects can be manipulated and
read only by invoking operations that are specified within the type definition and made visible through the public clause. In an object–oriented database
system encapsulation is achieved if only the operations are visible to the programmer and both the data and the implementation are hidden. Class or
type hierarchies Any subclass or subtype will inherit attributes and methods from its superclass or super type. Support for types or classes вћў Type: in
an object–oriented system, summarizes the common features of a set of objects with the same characteristics. In programming languages types can be
used at compilation time to check the correctness of programs. вћў

Object Oriented Programming
FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS (JAVA) IN INTERVIEWS 1)What is OOPs? Ans: Object oriented programming organizes a program around its
data,i.e.,objects and a set of well defined interfaces to that data.An object–oriented program can be characterized as data controlling access to code.
2)what is the difference between Procedural and OOPs? Ans: a) In procedural program, programming logic follows certain procedures and the
instructions are executed one after another. In OOPs program, unit of program is object, which is nothing but combination of data and code. b) In
procedural program, data is exposed to the whole program whereas in OOPs program,it is accessible with in the object and which in turn assures the
security of the code....show more content...
Ans: final : final keyword can be used for class, method and variables.A final class cannot be subclassed and it prevents other programmers from
subclassing a secure class to invoke insecure methods.A final method can' t be overriddenA final variable can't change from its initialized value.
finalize( ) : finalize( ) method is used just before an object is destroyed and can be called just prior to garbage collecollection finally : finally, a key
word used in exception handling, creates a block of code that will be executed after a try/catch block has completed and before the code following
the try/catch block. The finally block will execute whether or not an exception is thrown. For example, if a method opens a file upon exit, then you
will not want the code that closes the file to be bypassed by the exception–handling mechanism. This finally keyword is designed to address this
contingency. 15)What is UNICODE? Ans: Unicode is used for internal representation of characters and strings and it uses 16 bits to represent each
other. 16)What is Garbage Collection and how to call it explicitly? Ans: When an object is no longer referred to by any variable, java automatically
reclaims memory used by that object. This is known as garbage collection.System.gc() method may be used to call it explicitly. 17)What is finalize()
method ? Ans: finalize () method is used just before an object is destroyed and can be called just prior to

Cultural Objects Example: Barbie
Cultural objects can practically be found anywhere. "A cultural object may be defined as shared significance embodied in form, [In other words] it
is a socially meaningful expression that is audible, visible, or tangible or that can be articulated" (SOURCE). Cultural objects tell stories, and those
stories could be interpreted in numerous different ways. The significances of cultural objects vary from individual to individual, as well as location
and time. So, a cultural object valued in the United States, could have a totally different meaning and representation in another country. Lastly, cultural
objects don't have to be physical objects. They can be; an idea, songs, believes, videos, styles, pretty much anything as long as they could tell a story.
With that being said, the meaning doesn't have to be built into the actual object itself, but the representation of the object should be open for
interpretation. After defining and clarifying what a cultural object is, I think Barbie could definitely be seen as a cultural object. To begin with, just
the word Barbie could have distinctive meanings when mentioned in different countries. For example, you could say the word Barbie in a sentence,
and here in the United States individuals would associate it with the upbeat, fun, blonde doll that millions of little girls currently own and play with. If
you were to say it in China, Thailand, Indonesia, or other Far Eastern countries where Barbie dolls are manufactured and

The Concept Of Classes And Object
Starting with the basic definition of Object which means an entity which be defined via dimensions usually refer to a thing in the real world. It may
be a mobile, laptop, chair etc.. Program can be designed using the concept of Classes and Objects. To simplify the development and maintenance
concepts such as Object, Class, Inheritance, Polymorphism, Abstraction and Encapsulation. An object is a state or behavior of an entity. It can be a
physical or a logical definition. Grouping or Collection of such objects which have the same behavior is called a class, generally represents a logical
entity. Inheritance is using the exisitng functionalities and defining new methods. In other words an object acquiring all the behaviors and...show more

Package Name – The whole name should be in lowercase letter like lang, util.
Constants Name – The whole name should be in Uppercase like MAX_DURATION, SPEED_LIMIT. Every organization has their own standards but
the base of Java naming concepts is the same. Rules are built on top of this base. Objects and Classes are used to design a program in object–oriented
programming techniques. Object refers to physical and logical state of an entity where as a Class is a logical entity only. Objects are entities that have
state and behavior which can be physical or logical and tangible or intangible. Banking Systems are an example for intangible objects. The
characteristics of an object is determined by its State – data or value the object represents, Behavior – represents the functional aspects like start, stop
and Identity – refers to the unique ID assigned and used by JVM to identify objects uniquely not visible to the user. For example: Phone is an
object. It is name as Apple, Color is white which indicates the state and is used to call or text is its behavior. Object is an instance of Class, the
template and blueprint of the class in used to create objects. In other words objects are the result of a class. Objects are real and runtime entities and
are determined by their state and behavior. Classes are collection or grouping objects of similar functionalities and are just logical entities. A class in

Descriptive Essay About My Blanket
Richard Rogers' song "Favorite Things" talks about how the narrator's favorite things make them feel better when times aren't the best. People often
have a memento from childhood that they keep throughout their life, such as a stuffed animal or a tea set. These possessions represent a memory or
event from one's life –whether it be from early on or from later in life– which in turn remind them of the feelings from the times they received it. These
tokens from their early life often mean the world to them, and this is an accurate description of how I feel about my "Blankie." My blanket is a
source of comfort, every small imperfection has a memory behind it, and these impressions make the blanket unique to my life and my experiences.
While most of the details that reside on my blanket are small and often remain unnoticed, each one makes it more important to me.
When I cuddle up on the couch with my blanket, waves of emotion overflow me. As a baby, I adored the cartoon "The New Adventures of Winnie the
Pooh," which prompted my parents to buy me my blanket. The pictures decorating the cloth present two of the most popular characters from when it
was made, Pooh Bear and Piglet, showing the two friends giving each other a hug seemed to create a higher aura of kindness and love that further
improves bad emotions. Small patches of patterns surround the centerpiece, the multicolored squares, plain white clouds, and colorful minimalistic
depictions of bees. The previously bright and

Object Relation Theory
Theory Description
The object relations theory is centered on the idea that individuals develop their social habits and relationships based on their interfaces with people
during their childhood (Freidman, 2010, pg. 130). These people are considered "objects", and refer to anyone that a child would have emotional ties to
(Freidman, 2010, pg. 130). A couple of additional definitions imperative to the understanding of the object relations theory include internal objects,
which entails a depiction of a person that one has an emotional tie to in the form of an idea, thought, or reflection, where as an external object is the
physical person or entity that renders the emotional investment (Victor, 2007). The object relations theory progressed elements...show more content...

Memories in Max the Stuffed Animal

  • 1. Descriptive Essay About Stuffed Animal My artifact is brown and black with almost 2 decades' worth of memories; this object is my stuffed Rottweiler named Max. This artifact, although motionless with four legs, has walked to the moon and back with me as a child full of imagination. This artifact stores the most precious memories and has been with me at every step in my life. Max is very meaningful to me because we have shared many memories, from birth until now. My stuffed animal has been with me through every ups and downs in life, every change that has ever occurred to me, has been a part my past and present; and represents my future. In every stage of my childhood, Max was there for me; from the moments after my birth until now. My father gave me my first stuffed animal as a gift when I was a very small infant. Since my father grew up owning Rottweilers, it was very fitting of him to buy me a stuffed Rottweiler as my first gift. I have a very vague memory of naming Max; I remember my mom and dad having a mini discussion on what he should be named. My mother wanted a female name, while my father wanted a male name. Coincidentally, our neighbor's dog was named Max and since I liked that name because it was easy to pronounce, my stuffed animal was officially named Max, or "Maa", as what I used to call him. A few years later, my dad bought another stuffed animal, also a Rottweiler, and we decided to give it a name. I clearly remember my dad saying "We need to give it a manly name" jokingly. But since I was Get more content on HelpWriting.net
  • 2. Write a description of an object as you are looking at it. Then compare the written description with information you can obtain by looking at the object or at a picture of the object. Is it true that "a picture is worth a thousand words" How does your comparison of written and visual representations relate to the discussion of propositional versus depictive representations in this chapter? For this experiment, I will choose my phone it is rectangular with a glass touch screen placed in a white protective cover. There are breaks in the white cover on three sides for the speaker, power button, volume button, charging port and headphones. On the back of the cover is the word love in bold black letters. Each letter is see–through in the middle...show more content... Whereas an actual photo of my phone is considered a depictive representation. These two aspects are used when processing imagery often complimenting each other. While propositional representations like words or a symbol give, the individual and idea of the object visual cues can help further explain what a person is seeing. For example Dr. Kosslyn's experiment with the propositional representation of the boat. The boat is depicted with words next to lines and dots that give the viewer a spatial perception of where everything is located on the boat and how far the each piece is from another. While it is this image can be considered a drawing, it not an actual depiction of what a boat looks like, the image is similar to blue prints. While this picture was very informative on how far the propeller is from the anchor I could not help having issues visualizing what the boat looks like. I myself and not an avid boater, so visualizing the boat that is being depicted spatially is very hard for me. In the end to get a good understanding of the boat that Kosslyn is trying to depict I would need a photo. In the end when pitting these to processes against each other I would choose a depictive representation, but when used together propositional and depictive views give accurate view of visual Get more content on HelpWriting.net
  • 3. Object Analysis Oinochoe Billie Ingram–Sofokleous bi387 Object Description The object is an Ancient Greek ceramic pot known as an Attic vase produced using clay. Having looked on the British Museum database, a 'stamnos'1 vase used for storing liquids. 'The vase was decorated using a fine clay slip...a liquid mixture of clay and water which would eventually turn black during the firing process''2. The shape of the vase is squat and a rounded hollow shape with stout handles that curl upwards to help with handling. It looks to be high–sided and broad shouldered for a functional purpose. It has a low foot and low red waved patterned neck described as 'maeanders'3 and lip. After looking on the British Museum website, the image is seen with a decorative lid that is substantial to ensure the protection of its contents....show more content... The man is in military attire, carrying a round shield on his back, holding a spear and a sword at his waist. The figure to his left looks to be a fatherly figure supported by a walking cane. The figure to his right looks like a woman holding a small round plate and a 'oinochoe'5 maybe containing wine. The back panorama is of a similar scene; a reverse of the figures and could be a diorama of the concept that were being facing at the time of people contrasting the act of immorality to the ideal of education that this man could be opposing. The woman is offering a drink, he holds his hand to be either encouraging or demanding a Get more content on HelpWriting.net
  • 4. PROCESS DESCRIPTION OF OBJECT–ORIENTED PROGRAMMING Introduction Object–Oriented Programming is a programming paradigm emphasized on "objects" which consists of data attributes and methods (Lewis; Loftus). Data attributes are comparable to nouns while methods are comparable to verbs in English. For instance, a person represented by object, has name, age, and gender as its data attributes. The person will be able to think, speak, and write with the representation of methods in the object. The main purpose of learning Object–Oriented Programming is to create programs that are maintainable and scalable. Maintainability is essential for programmers to understand the codes in a program. Therefore, the codes have to be concise and clear. Moreover, programs need to be easy to upgrade to accommodate changes in real world. Hence, we need to have the capability to build a program on another program. Object–Oriented Programming enables programmers to program by modeling the real world instead of defining the logic of how the world works. It focuses more on what makes up an object rather than what the object does. Programmers can focus on creating small components or objects, and group them together based on their relationships to build a larger object, which can be built upon again in future. The process of developing the paradigm consists the following steps: Encapsulation, Inheritance, Data Abstraction, and Polymorphism. Discussion Encapsulation Encapsulation is an Get more content on HelpWriting.net
  • 5. Describe your personality using a color, animal, or an object of your choice. If I had to describe myself as an animal, I would choose a dog. Surprisingly, I didn't just choose this because I like dogs. Don't get me wrong dogs are fantastic; but I chose a dog because of its characteristics. Everyone knows about that little dog that barks louder than any dog on the block. That dog is me; except lucky for you I don't bark, nor am I covered in hair with a tail. What I mean to say is, from a distance I might seem intimidating, but once you come closer and get to know me you'll realize I 'm actually a teddy bear. (metaphorically of course) I love to greet people, whether it be friends or family, with open arms and make them feel welcome and at home. Also, I'm always there for anybody around me who mayneed some extra support. This could mean anything from running an errand for my mom or being a shoulder to cry on for a friend. One possible negative personality trait I share with dogs is occasionally being overprotective. I say this is negative very cautiously, because it is not always bad. I never want to see anybody get hurt. This leads to me always having my friends' and family's back, even when they may not want me to be there. In that way, I am similar to a dog. 2. Discuss 3 passionate concerns you have regarding your future. In regards to my future, a passionate concern I have is where I decide to go to college. I am not concerned so much as to where I go, but what I'll Get more content on HelpWriting.net
  • 6. Essay on Inanimate Object Nina Ferrer Professor Susan Chapman English 111 21 February 2013 The darkness is slowly scaring me making me feel overwhelmed. I can't see anything. I feel suffocated and musty with all these boxes stocked next to me and on top of me. I've been here for so long and I feel so hopeless and useless. Then suddenly a bright light shines on me and I finally feel free from this very comfortless home. I wish someone would open this lid on top of me so I can breath in fresh air. But here I am staying strong and just patiently waiting. Then suddenly, I am lifted, opened, and place on top of a flat surface. I feel so nervous. I am hearing human voices. My wish is granted. It is my time, and I am free! My thoughts are running, I wonder if ...show more content... My owner finally takes his feet out and puts me on the bed and walks away. Patiently waiting, the little boy comes in rushing, full of energy, and I can see him changing into basketball shorts and putting socks on. Then a sudden whip–lash, he grabs me and he slips his feet inside super fast. He's running now, I can feel myself being stepped on, and I am also stepping on dirty floor. He runs outside, and this is my first time stepping on concrete, I hope I don't get creased or stepped on by other shoes. I am so nervous I can barely catch my breath. I can feel sweat and moist already surround my soles. We finally arrive at the park. I see my fellow basketball shoes all looking very sharp, but I believe nothing can compare to me I am the best, and I am here to make sure I protect my owners ankles and feet and to help him play better, and give him extra boost to hop and jump. As my owner is running, I see the ball being dribbled in front of me. As scared as I am as of now, I have to face this. This is my job. My owner and I just jumped. And before I knew it I was back on the ground. Here I am still keeping up and running. I've gotten stepped on so many times. I am exhausted. I'm moving left to right, and running back and fourth a full court so fast. I just want. I have so many scratches and dirt on me from all the other shoes. I hope my owner finishes playing already. It is relatively small, yet has been proven to have great importance and meaning. This dented, imperfect circle fits loosely, and comfortably which allows for the constant usage and handling. There is a band of a perfect line of small circles that runs infinite in the exact middle of the accessory. The thirteen small circles sit in the small seats of metal all in unison and order. • 8. Benefits Of Using Object Oriented Database Network allows the same owner file to be linked to multiple records. network models look like a tree that isn 't the right way up where the owner is the bottom of the tree and the member information being linked to the owner is the branches. This model is flexible due to the multiple links. Advantages It can be easily accessed in any table record in the database as it has many to many relationships. It is flexible so it is easier to navigate and search for information. ImageDisadvantages If you are a first time user it can be difficult to use. Difficulties can occur when adding information because this can change the whole database. Object oriented database Object databases store objects instead of data like integers or strings. Objects are made up of attributes and methods which is how the object behaves and the functions of the object. Advantages ImageEasy to navigate Less code is needed Quick to search you go straight to the object not search through the different tables Based on real world Disadvantages There are more tools for the user to use in relational databases lower efficiency when the data and relationships are simple Flat file Data in a flat file are stored in one big table. It can be either a binary file or a plain text file and usually there is one record stored per line. Not for programs that are used often or that include lots of entries. Advantages It is good for text files with not a lot of data Disadvantages

  • 11. Personal Object Personal Object An object I believe portrays how I see myself would be my drama team t–shirt. When this assignment was announced it was actually the first thing I thought of. The shirt brings a lot of memories back for me. In my opinion, I think it portrays my personality, the quiet and crazy side, as well as how passionate I am. It is a reminder that I can do anything I set my mind to. It's a reminder of my faith even in the dark moments and when I feel like I'm failing. It portrays my desire to be a part of something big, and my desire to learn. I think it portrays my quiet personality because on my team, we did what were called human videos. Human videos are basically telling stories to a song. The actors do not talk, they mouth the lyrics and use actions and facials to tell a story. Around people I don't know, I don't say too much. I would hope that my life tells others a story of hope. I would hope that my actions would point others to someone who could give them that. I'm not doing so well in it myself, but I know I can do better. I also believe this shirt portrays my crazy side through the font on the front. It's something not common, it stands out. My team came up with the name. I honestly don't remember who thought of Jive 2 Thrive and I'm kind of surprised the guys in the group didn't say anything. Anyway, the only time I wore the shirt was when I was around my team and I see that I only step out of my comfort zone is when I'm around my friends. Get more content on HelpWriting.net
  • 12. Descriptive Essay On A Bag For most college students, carrying some form of bag is a necessity. Depending on the person, they might carry a backpack, purse, messenger bag, tote, or something else. Bags are sometimes a way to express yourself, and sometimes appearance doesn't matter rather the functionality of it. Many people chose their bag of choice based on these ideas. For myself, my choice of bag was due to convenience and I'll explain. The backpack I use currently, I have had since my sophomore year of high school . It is a grey JanSport backpack, that has one large pocket and one small pocket. It has a giant hole in the side from years of use and to put it nicely I am to frugal to buy a new one. Until, the straps breakoff I will probably continue to use it. In high school I chose this backpack based on appearance (Grey, which is my favorite color) and the popularity of the brand. Today, I don't care much about the appearance, as many could gather from the giant hole. I use it because I have it and its still functional. Laptop: My laptop is a necessity for me and that is why I always carry it in my backpack. I'm often on campus most of the day and I use the laptop to work on assignments, quizzes, watch Netflix between classes, or browse the internet. Binder: My binder is a Đ’Đ… inch white organizational tool. • 13. Object Oriented Database Introduction "Choosing the right OODB architecture can mean orders of magnitude difference in performance and scalability characteristics rather than a few percentage points as found in relational implementations." To achieve maximum performance and scalability the most important thing is choosing the right application architecture. OODBs give applications much more direct access to the persistent data, so application architecture has much more impact on performance than is the case with an RDB. Or to put it another way, when using an OODB the application architect has much more power to optimize performance than when using an RDB. Consequently the application architecture has more effect on performance and scalability than the choice...show more content... In other words, the schema of an object is not in first–normal–form. Examples of attributes that can comprise a complex object include lists, bags, and embedded objects. Object identity Every instance in the database has a unique identifier (OID), which is a property of an object that distinguishes it from all other objects and remains for the lifetime of the object. In object–oriented systems, an object has an existence (identity) independent of its value. Encapsulation Object–oriented models enforce encapsulation and information hiding. This means, the state of objects can be manipulated and read only by invoking operations that are specified within the type definition and made visible through the public clause. In an object–oriented database system encapsulation is achieved if only the operations are visible to the programmer and both the data and the implementation are hidden. Class or type hierarchies Any subclass or subtype will inherit attributes and methods from its superclass or super type. Support for types or classes вћў Type: in an object–oriented system, summarizes the common features of a set of objects with the same characteristics. In programming languages types can be used at compilation time to check the correctness of programs. вћў Get more content on HelpWriting.net

Ans: Object oriented programming organizes a program around its data,i.e.,objects and a set of well defined interfaces to that data.An object–oriented program can be characterized as data controlling access to code. 2)what is the difference between Procedural and OOPs? Ans: a) In procedural program, programming logic follows certain procedures and the instructions are executed one after another. In OOPs program, unit of program is object, which is nothing but combination of data and code. b) In procedural program, data is exposed to the whole program whereas in OOPs program,it is accessible with in the object and which in turn assures the security of the code....show more content... Ans: final : final keyword can be used for class, method and variables.A final class cannot be subclassed and it prevents other programmers from subclassing a secure class to invoke insecure methods.A final method can' t be overriddenA final variable can't change from its initialized value. finalize( ) : finalize( ) method is used just before an object is destroyed and can be called just prior to garbage collecollection finally : finally, a key word used in exception handling, creates a block of code that will be executed after a try/catch block has completed and before the code following the try/catch block. The finally block will execute whether or not an exception is thrown. For example, if a method opens a file upon exit, then you will not want the code that closes the file to be bypassed by the exception–handling mechanism. This finally keyword is designed to address this contingency. 15)What is UNICODE? Ans: Unicode is used for internal representation of characters and strings and it uses 16 bits to represent each other. 16)What is Garbage Collection and how to call it explicitly? Ans: When an object is no longer referred to by any variable, java automatically reclaims memory used by that object. This is known as garbage collection.System.gc() method may be used to call it explicitly. 17)What is finalize() method ? Ans: finalize () method is used just before an object is destroyed and can be called just prior to Get more content on HelpWriting.net
  • 15. Cultural Objects Example: Barbie Cultural objects can practically be found anywhere. "A cultural object may be defined as shared significance embodied in form, [In other words] it is a socially meaningful expression that is audible, visible, or tangible or that can be articulated" (SOURCE). Cultural objects tell stories, and those stories could be interpreted in numerous different ways. The significances of cultural objects vary from individual to individual, as well as location and time. So, a cultural object valued in the United States, could have a totally different meaning and representation in another country. Lastly, cultural objects don't have to be physical objects. They can be; an idea, songs, believes, videos, styles, pretty much anything as long as they could tell a story. With that being said, the meaning doesn't have to be built into the actual object itself, but the representation of the object should be open for interpretation. After defining and clarifying what a cultural object is, I think Barbie could definitely be seen as a cultural object. To begin with, just the word Barbie could have distinctive meanings when mentioned in different countries. For example, you could say the word Barbie in a sentence, and here in the United States individuals would associate it with the upbeat, fun, blonde doll that millions of little girls currently own and play with. If you were to say it in China, Thailand, Indonesia, or other Far Eastern countries where Barbie dolls are manufactured and Get more content on HelpWriting.net
  • 16. The Concept Of Classes And Object Starting with the basic definition of Object which means an entity which be defined via dimensions usually refer to a thing in the real world. It may be a mobile, laptop, chair etc.. Program can be designed using the concept of Classes and Objects. To simplify the development and maintenance concepts such as Object, Class, Inheritance, Polymorphism, Abstraction and Encapsulation. An object is a state or behavior of an entity. It can be a physical or a logical definition. Grouping or Collection of such objects which have the same behavior is called a class, generally represents a logical entity. Inheritance is using the exisitng functionalities and defining new methods. In other words an object acquiring all the behaviors and...show more content... Package Name – The whole name should be in lowercase letter like lang, util. Constants Name – The whole name should be in Uppercase like MAX_DURATION, SPEED_LIMIT. Every organization has their own standards but the base of Java naming concepts is the same. Rules are built on top of this base. Objects and Classes are used to design a program in object–oriented programming techniques. Object refers to physical and logical state of an entity where as a Class is a logical entity only. Objects are entities that have state and behavior which can be physical or logical and tangible or intangible. Banking Systems are an example for intangible objects. The characteristics of an object is determined by its State – data or value the object represents, Behavior – represents the functional aspects like start, stop and Identity – refers to the unique ID assigned and used by JVM to identify objects uniquely not visible to the user. For example: Phone is an object. It is name as Apple, Color is white which indicates the state and is used to call or text is its behavior. Object is an instance of Class, the template and blueprint of the class in used to create objects. In other words objects are the result of a class. Objects are real and runtime entities and are determined by their state and behavior. Classes are collection or grouping objects of similar functionalities and are just logical entities. A class in Java contains fields, methods, Get more content on HelpWriting.net
  • 17. Descriptive Essay About My Blanket Richard Rogers' song "Favorite Things" talks about how the narrator's favorite things make them feel better when times aren't the best. People often have a memento from childhood that they keep throughout their life, such as a stuffed animal or a tea set. These possessions represent a memory or event from one's life –whether it be from early on or from later in life– which in turn remind them of the feelings from the times they received it. These tokens from their early life often mean the world to them, and this is an accurate description of how I feel about my "Blankie." My blanket is a source of comfort, every small imperfection has a memory behind it, and these impressions make the blanket unique to my life and my experiences. While most of the details that reside on my blanket are small and often remain unnoticed, each one makes it more important to me. When I cuddle up on the couch with my blanket, waves of emotion overflow me. As a baby, I adored the cartoon "The New Adventures of Winnie the Pooh," which prompted my parents to buy me my blanket. The pictures decorating the cloth present two of the most popular characters from when it was made, Pooh Bear and Piglet, showing the two friends giving each other a hug seemed to create a higher aura of kindness and love that further improves bad emotions. Small patches of patterns surround the centerpiece, the multicolored squares, plain white clouds, and colorful minimalistic depictions of bees. After France he was sent to North Africa to try and help the Italians which had retreated all the way back to Libya due to the British. He immediately took control of the troops in North Africa and attacked. It caught the British completely off guard and forced them to retreat to Tobruk. Because of this he earned the nickname The Desert Fox for his ability to trick and outsmart his enemies. He was at the same time promoted to Field Marshal making him the youngest Field Marshal in history. One of his biggest wins was when he dug holes in a u–shape and put 88mm anti–aircraft guns in the holes so that only the gun had a very low profile and only the barrel peaked out. He then covered the guns with tents making them look like small sand dunes. He had a couple light tanks do a false attack on the british. The british seeing just a couple tanks took the bait and chased after the light tanks. The light tanks drove into the U of guns and the 88mm guns open fired at point blank at the now surrounded Get more content on HelpWriting.net
  • 19. Object Relation Theory Theory Description The object relations theory is centered on the idea that individuals develop their social habits and relationships based on their interfaces with people during their childhood (Freidman, 2010, pg. 130). These people are considered "objects", and refer to anyone that a child would have emotional ties to (Freidman, 2010, pg. 130). A couple of additional definitions imperative to the understanding of the object relations theory include internal objects, which entails a depiction of a person that one has an emotional tie to in the form of an idea, thought, or reflection, where as an external object is the physical person or entity that renders the emotional investment (Victor, 2007).
