TTHHIIRRDD SSPPAACCEE Southridge Young Adults /THərd spās/ - noun - A Third Space is a social environment separate from home (first space) and work (second space) where like-minded people regularly gather and develop community. Our Third Space has three portions: The Coffee Shop A relaxing and inviting space for all to come and de-stress from life’s worries... Like Starbucks but with more Jesus. HHiigghh quality coffee, espressos, teas, and hot chocolates will be served at the coffee bar. Bring your bible and a journal, unplug from technology, and focus on recharging your spiritual batteries. Tuesday 7pm - Room 220 The Community The Gathering Just when everyone has relaxed and gotten all jittery with caffeine in their veins, we turn all the chairs and couches to face the front and have a solid hour of prayer, worship, hymns, presentations, and music. The general outline will look something like this but will always be open for change. PSLAM this is not a typo... when someone does a poetry slam for scripture it’s called a pslam WORSHIP a couple acoustic hymns and songs of worship COMMON PRAYER collective liturgically styled prayer based on commonprayer.net BEAUTY every week a different person gives a 5 to 10 minute presentation on something they find beautiful... by appreciating beauty we appreciate God because it all ultimately points to His majesty and presence TRUTH a short 5 to 10 minute story or message CLOSING finish off with a song or a prayer then people leave when they want We are an eclectic group of young adults, ages 18 to 25ish, who regularly hang out to intentionally focus on community, spiritual growth, and the steadfast improvement of God's Kingdom.
