1. Doing God’s Will
Luke 9:23 And he said to them all, If any man will
come after me, let him deny himself, and take up his
cross daily, and follow me.
At Bible study tonight my pastor talked about this
scripture And he said to them all, If any man will
come after me, let him deny himself, and take up his
cross daily, and follow me. And he said the first thing
you have to do before anything is that you have to
deny yourself. Which means your not in control of
your life, and you not doing sinful things, God is in
control of your life, but mostly you are not doing
what you want to do anymore. You is putting your
flesh rest and stop doing what’s not pleasing to God.
And I’m honestly stuck right there because I haven’t
truly, honestly and FULLY denied my self. And I’m
not ashamed or afraid to admit that. But all I can do
know is to do my very best to be pleasing unto God.
Ask GOD for forgiveness and he is Just to forgive
you from any sin you may commit. And in order for
me to deny myself I have to not do what I want to do,
and start focusing and doing only what God wants me
to do. I been trying to save my self and do the word
of God. Because if you haven’t denied yourself to
God and giving your life to him and putting the liking
of your flesh to rest then you haven’t denied yourself.
I don’t praise him like I should, pray like I should,
give him all the glory for everything he does, and
2. study his word like I should. I thank God for me
hearing this message tonight because I need to deny
everything out of my body that’s not like God. Once
we deny ourselves then we can take up his cross daily
with us where ever we go. No matter where you go in
life to always carry the cross with you. Let the cross
stick so close to you just how the skin is to the body.
Draw me nearer to the cross and keep the cross with
you, and never drop the cross or put it down. Put the
cross around you and never take it off. And lastly
God says follow me which means he’s the leader.
Follow him do everything like him he’s the leader
and we are the followers. Follow him and learn of
him get to know him and know everything that’s his
about. Jesus died for us and to show our appreciation
to him we have to learn his word and follow after his
foot steps. Be anxious everyday to learn something
new about our Savior Lord Jesus Christ.
