Basic set up and use of the Kindle Cloud Reader for Chrome

1. How to set up the Kindle Cloud Reader on Google Chrome

2. Kindle Cloud Reader only works on Google Chrome or Safari. Using Chrome, go to http://read.amazon.com. Enter your email address. If you already have an Amazon account, enter your password; if not, select I am a new customer.

3. To allow reading eBooks while not online, select “Enable Offline”.

4. Select “Continue”.

5. Select “Install”.

6. Chrome will open a new tab. Cloud Reader will be in your list of apps. Click it to open.

7. 5) Click “Get Started Now”

8. 6) You’ll see the Amazon/Kindle books you have purchased or borrowed. (You might need to refresh your Library in the upper left corner.)

9. 7) Right click a book cover for options. To enable reading while not connected to the Internet, click “Download and Pin Book.”

10. 8) Toggle between Cloud (online) books and ones you’ve Downloaded/Pinned.

11. 9) Use the slider to make the cover images larger or smaller.

12. 10) Toggle between “list” view and “grid” view, and adjust the sorting criteria: by author, title, or recent (when the titles were acquired).
