o Indian Army – From Jan 1986 to 08 Jul 2013 in Corps of Engineers with experience of
Waste water treatment plant, Drinking water supply, rehabilitation of water works in
Earthquake affected area and massive earthwork for road, airfield and dam
construction. While at Army HQ as Director in Delhi in 2011-13, strategic planning and
project preparation including financial viability report for infrastructure improvement in
Northeastern states and Kashmir was directed by me. Took early retirement in Jul 2013.
o Uttaranchal Development Corporation Dehradun – 2008 on Deputation prepared DPR
and Floated and Evaluated RFP and RFQ for Inter State Bus Terminus at Dwarka as third
party for IDFC bank. In addition prepared revival project plan for a Government Mineral
Water Plant in collaboration with IIT Roorkee.
o People Nest Service Apartments LLP. 2013-14 – As Entrepreneur, set up a hospitality
company in Pune and commenced profitable business from first year itself.
o Beta Group – 2013- As a Director of the company commenced start up of a Sports
Company.
o STEM Water Distr & Infra Company Private Limited. Aug 2014 to Date. Managing
Director and CEO for last 10 months. Turned it from Loss making venture to a break even
one with huge improvement in efficiency and Business development.
o Brief profile of Company – Main Business – Bulk Water Supply (300 Million Litres per
day) to Municipal Corporations of Thane Mira Bhayander and Bhiwandi and 34 Villages.
Process involved are Lifting and delivering water from river to WTP, Purification,
Chemical Dosing and Delivery. Size- Rs 170 Crore networth. Business Development-
Construction & Maintenance of Sewage Treatment Plant for Large Housing Project and
Packaged Drinking Water Production.

o Strategy Management.
 Business Acquisition/ Start Up knowledge. Analysis for moving into business of
Sewage Treatment Plant of 3 Million Litres PD and RO Packeged water business
with capacity of 10000 LPD in STEM. Also set up Hospitality Business.

 Risk Management. While in the Army planned and catered for contingencies, in
Stem understanding risks of starting business, dealing with government, political
environment risk and social risk in Water industry were tackled. Nuances of risk
of delayed payments, recovery of dues and funding No Shows also dealt with.
 Contract Management. While at STEM Contract worth Rs 70 Crores being
handled for Pojects on Rehabilitation of Pump House, Clariflocutor, Rapid sand
Fiters. Also to hire contract labour, Transport, Legal and Accounting Firms and
Technical audit . Contract worth upto Rs 50 Crores handled for Water Supply
project in Army, While at UDC, prepared complete Contract Documents for Inter
State Bus Terminus at Delhi for IDFC and Conducted RFP, RFQ and Tender
evaluation.
 CSR. Drinking Water supply to 34 Villages at subsidized rate from STEM.
 Liaison with Government offices, Municipal Corporations, Financers and Industry
Key Person.
o Technical
 Design, Execution and Control of 3 MLD SBR STB, Water supply scheme of 50
MLD and Pipeline Analysis.
 Project Management of 21 Kms Water pipeline and supply scheme for Army at
Mahajan Rajasthan and Construction work of 70 MLD UG Sump for Chlorine
contact and Storage. Used MS Project for early and economic completion.
 Asset Management. Managing water supply assets including Land, Facilities like
Chlorine House, Chemical House, Pump House, 180 Kms of MS Pipeline size
1000mm to 2000 mm dia and appurtment, its maintenance schedule,
replacement schedule and security and accounting. While in army, Tarnsport,
Engineering equipment like JCB, Dozer etc and Technical equipment were
managed.
 Optimisation. Use of data to improve Energy Consumption, which is largest part
of expense, was optimized and saving of 2 % has been affected in last 6 months
only. Similarly optimum use of chemicals and prevention of NRW also achieved
success.
 Land Acquisition. Experience in Survey, Search, Documentation and Offices
Procedures as for WTP or STP land is critical asset.
 Technical Upgradation. Real time control and use of SCADA for automation has
been installed at WTP for efficient controls of Backwash, Actuator ops and
Chlorination. In case of Ro plant fully automatic plant including packaging
machine installation.
 Safety Aspects.
o Financial Management
 Turned the compny from Accumulated Loss of Rs 40 Crore to Break even.
 Corrected the Financial Statements of Company to show Fair state considering
Accrual basis of accounting but taking Provisions and committed expenses. The
correct networth of company was recognized to be Rs 70 Crores on adjustments
which was being projected as Rs 170 Crores.
 Audit Process. In army on Audit Committee and attended course ICSA.
 Improved working cycle from 6 months to 2 months.
o Human Resource Management. While in Army Recruited, Trained and Led for execution
of engineering work 100 men in 1987 to 1000 men in 2007. Also carried out selection
process for engineers for army from college for 3 years. In Stem carried out recruitment
of short staff of Company Secretary, Accountants and Engineers and carried out
professional training.
o Legal. Implementation of provisions of new Company Act 2013. Familiar with Board
room Procedures and Management of Directors.

o Personally secured Chief of Army Staff Commedation Medal for excellent Engineering
Contribution to Army.
 Hobbies
o Travelling :In India lived in Kashmir for 4 years, Rajasthan for 6 years and Arunachal for
2years besides in Delhi(20 Years), Pune( 12 Years) and Mumbai(2 Years). Have travelled
to USA and Thailand.
o Sports -Marathon Running (2nd Position in une Marathon in 2014 in age group), Scuba
Diving and Parasailing.
