4.  Wireless charging is one of several methods
of charging batteries without the use of
cable or device specific AC adaptors.
 Wireless charging can be used for a wide
variety of devices including cell phones,
laptops, computers etc.

5. There are three types of wireless charging:-
 Resonance charging
 Inductive charging
 Radio charging

6.  It uses the phenomenon of “RESONANCE” ,
that causes object to vibrate when energy
of certain frequency is applied.
 Two copper coils are used one attached to
transmitter and other to receiver.
 Both coils are tuned to same
electromagnetic frequency.
 These coils are placed close to one another.
 Examples:- electric cars, Robots etc.

7.  Inductive charging is one kind of short
distance wireless charging.
 This method works on the principle of
“ELECTROMAGNETIC INDUCTION” where a
E.M field is created with alternate polarity
using an insulated copper coil and a similar
coil.
 Examples:- MP3 players, electric
toothbrush.

9.  A transmitter plugged in to a socket,
generates radio waves, when the receiver
attached to the device is set to the same
frequency as the device is set to the same
frequency as the transmitter, it will charge
the device’s battery.
 Examples:- watches, medical implant.

10. The basic design mainly consists of three sole
parts:-
 Transmitter:- A power transmitter acts a
power source. It transmits signals are
mainly Microwave region.
 Antennas:- It plays the role of mediator
between transmitter and receiver.
 Receiver:- The receiver’s main purpose is
to charge an AAA battery.

11.  Wireless charging Pad and Electric cars.

12.  Provides consumers with freedom and
convenience.
 Simple ways of technology.
 Simultaneous charging of multiple devices.
 The plastic, packaging and electronic waste
associated with charges is greatly reduced.

13.  Applicable for only small distance.
 For the large devices like electric car,
charging stations may be limited.

14.  Research in to using wireless technology to
supply to terminal is finally beginning to be
realized.
 The technology provides a wide range
portability, low cost and best of all.
 Charging will one day become a matter of
dropping devices to the nearest charging
pad.
