3. Indication
1.Thia position is used for unconscious patient.
2.It is used for rectal exemination.
3.Used for vaginal examination.
4.Used for relaxatation in andenatel exercises..
4. Procedure
1.Explain the procedure to the patient.
2.Collect articles need at the bed side.
3.Provide privacy.
4.Place the patient on the side.
5.One pillow is placed under the head
with the left chest resting on it.
6.The left arm is draw behind the body and right arm may be in any
position comfortable for the patient.
5. 7.The left leg is extended well.
8.Cover the patient with top sheet.
6. Dorsal Recumbent position
Patient lies on the back ,knees fully flexed ,thigh flexed and externalley
rotated feet on the bed.
Indications
1.It is used for catheterization,vaginal and rectal examination.
2.It is also used for vaginal operation .
3.Patient who are convalescent period.
4.Patient with gastric condition.
5.Patient with abdominal or pelvic operation unless erect setting position
in indicated.

8. Procedure
1.Place the patient on back in bed with two or more pillows under
the head and one pillow under the knees or maintain his position
by elevating the top of bed on blocks.
2.Place the air rings under the hip and cotton rings or foam pads
under the heels to reduce the pressure.
3.Align the patient body in good condition .
4.Support the body parts in good alignments for comfort when
the patient in paralyzed.
9. Lithotomy position
The patient lies on her back. The legs
are separated and thighs are flexed
on the abdomen and the legs are on
the thighs. The patient buttocks are
kept at the edge of the table and
legs are supported by stirrups.
