Experience/Work History
I worked for the City of Abbotsford as the Civic Facilities manager and Energy manager.
I managed the maintenance work of 1,300,000 sq. ft. of building space, including Recreation
Facilities, Pool, Arena, Office towers, Police facilities, Libraries, Operation facilities, Fire halls,
and others.
Prior to working for the city I worked for Trane at the Waterfront properties. Trane contracted
my services to Cadillac Fairview to manage the maintenance of the four class A office towers;

2. I was with the Vancouver Marriott Pinnacle Hotel since July 03, when they assumed the
management of the Delta Pinnacle Hotel. I worked with Canadian Pacific Hotels, (Delta and
Fairmont Hotels) across Canada since 1986, started at the Chateau Lake Louise Resort, and
moved to Kananaskis, Calgary Airport, the Algonquin in NB and then to Vancouver to manage
the Hotel facilities.
 Worked with the Recreation facilities over the last few years, organizing the maintenance,
and staff to more efficiently maintain the facilities.
We combined pool and Arena jobs so they can take care of both sides of the house.
 Energy Manger for the city of Abbotsford as part of my role as Building maintenance
manager. I was able to obtain ½ my salary covered by BC hydro and implemented many
energy saving projects to reduce the consumption and costs to the city including: light
retrofits, installation of motor speed drives, reflective insulation on arenas, installing
energy efficient mechanical equipment, adding control to systems, water harvesting,.
 Managed many capital projects including pool renovations, roof replacements, new fire
hall builds, tear down of old structures, installation of mechanical equipment, elevator
upgrade, Generator installations
 Mechanical controls of equipment through direct digital control systems like Delta,
Reliable, Tracer summit…. Implementing these systems making it more comfortable and
efficient operations
 Installation of key scan systems, security systems, keying buildings alike with various
levels of access, ensuring the buildings are secure
 Managing the cleaning of the facilities through contracts and working with them to ensure
a satisfactory clean environment
 Working with staff and contractors to carry out this work. Encouraging fair treatment,
open communication and a good work ethic
