The VERDE line is
the first of its kind to
be able to adapt hy-
drogen production
based on the vary-
ing, intermittent in-
put from renewable
energy sources like
wind, solar, and ki-
netic water.
This enables opera-
tors to do one sim-
ple, and valuable,
thing: store their
energy as a high
value commodity.
How Verde
Works
During periods of
curtailment or off-
peak generation,
renewable energy
operators can con-
vert their low-value
electricity into high
value stored hydro-
gen. Because of the
wide array of hy-
drogen users, there
is always a market
for hydrogen gas.

What Verde Costs
The Verde process is
surprisingly inexpen-
sive, lower than com-
peting energy storage
methods like batteries
and compressed air in
upfront costs and in
long term O&M ex-
pense. Depending on
your energy capacity,
Verde has a packaged
energy system to fit
your needs. Above is
a cost scenario for a 1
MW wind storage pro-
ject.
The cost of producing
hydrogen with Verde
is substantially lower
than existing hydro-
gen systems. This gas
can be sold as an aux-
iliary product or can
be used in a fuel cell
or combustion genera-
tor at a later time as
electricity is needed.
Sustainable Value
The VERDE process
enables the energy
generator to effective-
ly convert their capac-
ity into a stored and
more expensive prod-
uct. On average, a megawatt of elec-
tricity will yield a payment from us-
ers or utilities ~$50 — using the
Verde process, operators can
make upwards of $150 with that
same megawatt.
