• The lifestyle of people living in an urban area at a faster pace than that of residents living in a less
populated center or in a rural setting
• Nearly half the world’s population now lives in urban areas

• Education is the main driving force for successful careers
• Urban schools are usually larger, are more likely to have a higher proportion of qualified teachers
than schools in rural areas and towns
• Students in urban schools are exposed to a variety of teaching and learning materials. They visit zoos,
national parks, sanctuaries, schools among others which make them remember concepts easily
• Urban students typically gain greater overall access to education, receive a higher quality education,
and outperform their rural counterparts

• There is a vast difference between urban and rural transport systems
• The urban transport systems are much more organized and the public transport is very crowded but
convenient
• A lot of options are available for daily commute in urban transport system whereas in rural transport
system, no such organization is seen. The means of commute are limited and generally scarce
• In urban areas, traffic is usually high

• Good quality Government Hospitals for poor
• Large number of Private Clinics & Hospitals
• Highly qualified doctors
• Many Diagnostic centres
• Quick Ambulance Services
• Immediate Emergency care
• Treatments are usually expensive in Private Hospitals

6. ENTERTAINMENT
• Have a much larger variety for entertainment such as movie theaters, shopping malls and sporting
events
• Leisure in the urban area also has much more to offer in the arts, musicals & museums
• Coaching is easily available for Sports like Football, Badminton, Tennis, Cricket, etc.
• People of all ages can spend lot of time in parks for different activities

• There are often roads of a better quality and well-built houses in urban areas
• Transport facilities are highly developed and often receive regular funding for updates
• It can be faster to get from place to place in a city or town
• Due to better public transport, you can save money on a car
• Most amenities and entertainments are easy to reach

• Clubs, restaurants and cinemas are more prolific in these busier areas and you often find new
attractions will open in a city before anywhere else
• Hospitals and clinics are close by for easy access to healthcare or aid in an emergency.
• Cities and towns tend to have a greater mix of cultures and ethnicities which can help when making
new friends and meeting people
• There are a greater number of jobs available in urban areas. Starting a new career could be far easier if
you move to a town or city
